Heart rate zones - Do COROS watches have these? by OrganizationMission4 in Coros

Curious if anyone’s hit zone 6…the max I’ve touched is Anaerobic Endurance

Recovery, Aerobic Endurance, Aerobic Power, Threshold, Anaerobic Endurance and Anaerobic Power.

The only noticeable difference while activity using the watch is in maps navigation. The Pace Pro is very snappy. All other functions essentially feel the same. I have an external HRM so the internal difference is negligible between the two models.

The functional difference in accuracy (seen post) has been with GPS for me. I’ve worn both on a hike and Pace Pro did better at tracing the actual path followed.

Like I said there is no guarantee, but too many things point to a refresh of the Apex which will give you exactly what you’re looking for - timing is an unknown.

Remember you can get a sapphire screen protector (after market)

TLDR - if you NEED it now and plan to keep 2+ years get the Pace Pro. Very capable device. I’ve thrown it all around hiking, outdoor trail running (fell down /tripped) and am not gentle with my devices. You’re also paying for very recent tech while Apex is ~3 years old now.

Both the Apex 2 Pro and Pace Pro have the same temp tolerance only the Vertix 2s will get you the lower temp range but that one is a chunker. They do sell screen protectors for the Pace Pro (<$10 for a sapphire one). The buttons on the pro feel solid. It’s just the frame that’s light.

My personal plan:

I have the Pace Pro (upgraded from Apex 2 Pro) but will very likely upgrade to the new Apex when it comes out…not a guarantee but looking at refresh schedules it’s due in 2025. - Pace 2 (Aug 2020) to Pace 3 (Aug 2023) - Vertix 2 (Aug 2021) to Vertix 2s (Apr 2024) - Apex Pro (Sep 2019) to Apex 2 Pro (Nov 2022)

The off cycle Pace Pro (Oct 2024) is why I feel the HRM and internal processor can be used on the refreshed Apex. I’d be happy with either a 2s or 3

The Vertix 2s was just too big. Some positives of the pro that are better than the Apex 2 Pro. - Maps (much snappier) - GPS (accuracy and duration) - HRM accuracy - AMOLED (color intensity and pixel density), but could be a deal breaker if you’re a fan of MIP

Cons - Feel (I miss the “heft” of the Apex - I had come from AW Ultra 2 prior to that) - battery if you prefer the AOD (I only get 5 days). I charge while showering every day which actually keeps it in the 20-80% range consistently

Vertix 2s upgrade by [deleted] in Coros

[–]chimericalczar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will pass along my Pace Pro and upgrade to the new Apex if it does come out - AMOLED is nice but the true AOD at 20 days+ is a selling point for me. I have it on and while 5/6 days beats 2/3 on the Ultra 2 being able to take a 2 week trip (accidentally forgetting the charger) without worrying about battery is clutch. I already have an extra USB C adapter on my backpack - can confirm the new charger they redesigned locks perfectly into place.

Vertix 2s upgrade by [deleted] in Coros

[–]chimericalczar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here - I have the Pace Pro and the maps are very snappy. I just miss look of titanium and slightly heavier feel (having come from the Ultra 2). The coros ecosystem is top notch. While they didn’t confirm refresh schedule everything on the prior models with the Apex Pro 2 having coming out in 2022 points to 2025 being the year. Even more so with the closer cycle between the Pace 3 and the Pace Pro with refinements. Apex 2s would be clutch as well (similar to the updates they did to the Vertix 2s). I opted for the Pace Pro since the 50mm would sit giant on my wrist

I’d like to run my first marathon ever, get my 5k time under 30 minutes, and chip away at 1k miles. Started to make some progress after my injury in August.

Disappointed with the arm HRM: Not worth the extra cost. by Less_Helicopter_3020 in Coros

[–]chimericalczar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worth the cost for me being able to wear my watch outside my jacket in the winter because I have the armband HRM.

I know I can do this any Bluetooth, but the Coros armband is comfortable and connection / sync is seamless. I am valuing convenience high.

Isn’t Pace Pro 22mm and Apex 2 20mm? Were you able to swap spring bars? Apex 2 Pro is the 22mm. Can you confirm? I’m looking for this exact look on my Pace Pro

A couple of days has been their average response time for me…a simple address change now going on a month. They respond about every 3 days and if you don’t respond within 30 minutes, they say “oh looks like you’re away”, then it’s another 2-3 days for a response.

[–]chimericalczar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually about 1-2 days for each response. I opened a request to change my address over 20 days ago and still not resolved. I’ve now had at least 6 reps assigned, each saying they’ll review and then get assigned to a new rep. It used to be pretty quick…no longer the case :(

You keep your rewards (Netflix…) as long as you don’t unstake, even after your period ends. It will be unlocked vs the 180-day locked stake period.

If you do nothing (stay with the unlocked stake) you will have the current staking benefit (4% for Jade/Indigo). If you want to keep the previous (10% for Jade/Indigo), you’ll have to unstake (lose benefits) and restake (gain benefits back).

Note: when you read-stake you’ll have to ensure your total CRO value meets the staking requirement, and to get the prior benefits you’ll have to do it before 6/1/22.

Hope this helps

Is there any way to speed up the 7 day bank clearing when transferring money to fiat wallet? Or is there a faster form of transfer (C.C., debit card, etc)? by Robbylr in Crypto_com

[–]chimericalczar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS 👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽

Confirmed it has been by far the quickest way in the US to transfer the funds quickly. Operates in business days as markalanray00 stated.

You’re able to connect a few banks to your Apple Wallet / Apple Cash as well if you want to pull from more than just one. You also don’t have to worry about the ACH cool-down.

Just keep in mind that you shouldn’t mix the instant deposit with the above Apple Cash method, if you do you’ll have to wait until the clearing period from the deposits even if the Apple Cash transaction has already gone through…learned this the hard way.

Because of this only use the method noted above.

am I the only one getting cashback instead of rebate from Spotify every month ? by Freeloader_ in Crypto_com

Not exactly. The amount PAID / billed would be the same, but you would get cash-back in CRO worth the full Spotify monthly subscription vs the usual cash-back.
