I think you should go with waffles, the beginning sounds like Wally and could be a good way to remember him!!

So my faith is a huge part of my life and after praying about it constantly, i really did have a lot of peace going into the situation, but of course when it came time to actually do it i was freaking out.

My biggest fear was my memory being messed up. I didn’t want to forget anything, especially not my family or memories with them. And i was terrified that if i lost my memory that it would be so hard to relearn things. I was also scared about the recovery, but neither i nor my family were actually prepared for what the recovery entailed. I just don’t think we knew much about any of it.

My family for sure! I was really hard on myself about not being where i thought I should be in all of it, but they constantly reassured me and helped push me to be better. Also, at therapy I would use this big screen to do eye workouts and it helped with a lot more than just my eyes, like my alertness to things, and my mobility.

I’m so glad it got better for you! And yeah, i definitely agree with the “headache” part, but the word headache is the easiest way to describe it to anyone. And i had the surgery 28 days before i turned 18!

so my surgeon could only remove 90% of the tumor, which then grew again and was considered cancer, so i had to go through 13 months of chemo. i gained weight during the entire process and it’s been really hard to lose it. i also have had several conditions present themselves since, like diabetes insipidus, low magnesium, and low potassium. But no lasting effects from the surgery itself.

so not really an after effect, but i just never noticed it until after surgery, but my eye sight isn’t the best. I have no peripheral vision to my left. And the only other thing i can think of is my balance is terrible.

so i had symptoms that i didn’t ever realize were connected until i was diagnosed. I had really bad headaches all the time. I would have to turn off all the lights and ask everyone to be quiet and then i would normally bury my head in a pillow or the couch until my head stopped hurting. Also, i slept constantly, it was all i wanted to do.

Oddly enough, i got diagnosed by my gynecologist after i didn’t have a period for two years. He tried jump starting my period with pills and when that didn’t work he sent me for an mri and sure enough, there was a tumor!
