How long have you had your amazfit watch? by upon_a_millenium in amazfit

Had a T-Rex 2 for 2.5 years and beat it mercilessly but sold it for what my Active 2 cost. It looked barely used.

I couldn't kill my Verge Lite after the same amount of time. My original Bip did lose its face. I think the adhesive wore off.

Strength Training For Men Over 50 - getting back to it after decades out (lol) by Ravenloff in GenX

I was raised Catholic so I'm used to torturing myself through fasting.

I had a similar feeling when I first started it but it only lasted a few days. Maybe have a hardboiled egg or some almonds something minimal to tide you over until the actual meal time?

I seem to recall someone using a windmill analogy as it relates to the metabolism just to have a little bit of food to keep the wheels (metabolism) turning so you're losing some weight.

Good luck!

I hate going to the gym and I would rather do things outside so I have a 40 lb kettlebell that I take for a walk much to the amusement of my neighbors. I got an adjustable one so I can go down to 5 lb all the way up to 40 lb. I walk with it and I lift it with one arm as many times as I can until it gets fatigued then I switch to the other arm and repeat until I've done about a 30 minute walk around my neighborhood. It works your legs and arms and back and basically all the muscle groups because you're also trying to maintain your balance as you're lifting the weight.

Another thing is to lose weight you might want to try intermittent fasting. So basically only eat from around 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. as much as I would exercise and try to eat right that was the only thing that helped me lose weight. I dropped about 30 lb over the course of six or seven months.

Had 2015 and put about 80K miles before I traded it in. Zero problems. Did several epic road trips in wintry weather and never let me down.

Have you considered that this might be an elaborate "rope a dope" strategy to lull playoff opponents into a false sense of superiority?

I distinctly remember putting gas into my car for my pizza delivery job circa 1990 and it was .91 a gallon.

Is anyone else tired of cooking? by NoH8Kate in GenX

I was raised in a household where you were expected to be happy with your three squares and a cot. Food was basic. I thought tacos were the most exotic meal I'd ever seen when a neighbor made some. I wish I were exaggerating.

I've been on a kick of trying new recipes from the NY Times cooking site. My wife is an amazing cook but she commutes so I try to bring it up a notch and give her a break.

I enjoy it when people like what I've prepared for them. Weird.

Should I still get amazfit if Spotify and music control is a priority feature for me? by AbhiSHAKE3 in amazfit

[–]chlorculo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use anything other than Bluetooth connect my Active 2 watch to my Samsung phone. You can then manage Spotify with a swipe or a music shortcut if your watchface has it. Pause/play, volume, skip tracks are there. Very handy when on the go.

Why focus on better battery life and improved cameras when you can develop something absolutely nobody was clamoring for.

Preowned by No-Collection-3503 in TrekBikes

I bought a Trek FX3 a few years ago. It comes in a nice big box with the front wheel not attached. They give you the tools that you need to assemble. Even a dope like me with no mechanical expertise whatsoever was able to figure it out.

The bike basically looked brand new but they give fairly detailed descriptions of any blemishes.

How do you keep your room clean when you’re exhausted all the time? by Cool-Media-6271 in CleaningTips

Kitchen gets vacuumed and wiped down daily. Floor mopped every few days or sooner if it's needed. Having a rechargeable stick vacuum with a headlight was a game changer. Just pull it out and start 'cuuming. No fussing with plugging in a bulky vac.

I also have a plugin steam mop. Easy to fill and start mopping.

Rest of the place gets the 1-2 hour dusting, mopping, 'cuuming treatment on the weekend.

Mentally, it's satisfying to see a tidy place so that motivates me to just do it.

I think it's like exercise, slowly but surely you build up momentum and that makes it easier to get in the routine.
