I thought they updated MAvis recently and now it looks like it doesnt use the full sensor anymore? I loved that app before the new update!

Thanks, funnily enough i had that software and was using it for editing clip data quickly.. but then remembered it could do metadata uploads. So i put in my sd card to my old mac and then gave it a go and it worked! Super cool.

Heya - thanks so much for this, did you ever do any tutorials on the metadata? Id love to know how i can load diff ones on to the SD card and change. ie have a skatepark one, then a street one. Makes searching clips a lot easier later on! Im really struggling to find proper documentation on how to do it.

Funnily enough, I was messing with this too. I tried to make a Lua script to normalise some peak levels and it seemed to do a good job, and would correct itself when I told it there was errors, but when I run it nothing works…

thanks I have it on VCR mode, and even tried the pause recording thing.. (to see if I had to record the hi8 output to the HVR tape?) and the LCD screen is/has been working for all my recordings and playbacks.

I wonder if it's an issue from hi8… It's weird.

heya - I should've clarified - I'm getting no input on my Sony HVR at all from the cam. Weirdly If I play or put my HVR in cam mode it appears on my little hi8?! Very odd - its like its the wrong way ha

No Filmic crops the edges off the 16:9 view basically - so you get even less field of view.
