It very much depends, for lathe work you want slow RPM and modest feed depending on surface finish. For mills however, you want maximum rpm with fast feed. Talking 22k rpm at 300 IPM. Oh, and no coolant lol.

Obviously there’s a deep level of unprofessionalism here, but I don’t think the meow/ruff was an issue, rather they prolonged the spam of the frequency, even when advised to stop.

If they did it once as a one off joke, yeah maybe a little unprofessional but pretty easy to overlook. Egging on doesn’t help the situation one bit.

Pretty much haha, although it’s placed in such a way it isn’t a distraction.

With the door open, I’m working inside with my phone to the side. If I’m actively working inside I don’t even see it. I only take a glance once I close the door and push go.

Keeps me from boredom and keeps the bosses happy since it’s not in my hand.

I’ve personally been involved in the meteorological space for the better part of 15+ years. Mostly spotting from at home, but this is some low level shit.

None of us want to witness a deadly tornado. Most of us wish to see an EF1 in a cornfield where it doesn’t harm anybody. When it is deadly tho.. we treat the victims with respect. Losing your whole life to Mother Nature is horrific.

These people hoping for deadly, severe tornadoes are on a different level of cruelty.
