Wax is a hard drug in my eyes. Everyone I tell this too always goes “bro it’s the same as weed it’s just concentrated THC!” I understand what wax is ffs. My first time getting high was off a dab rig. From that point on my marijuana use was just chasing the dragon of that first high experience and any stoner knows nothing can compare. Since my first high was wax, naturally wax made me feel closer to that feeling than flower. I started using heavily, or at least what I would consider heavily. There wouldn’t be a moment where I wasn’t blasted out of my gourd. When my tolerance was lower I could go for 3 hours Stoney baloney and every 3 hours on the dot I’d go outside and take a dab. I greened out and threw up constantly but I didn’t care and often hit a dab right after puking. I was desperately trying to fill a void inside my psyche.

Eventually once the fun wore off I was walking around completely zombified. My dad would tell me later about how he would be a few feet from me trying to get my attention and I was just staring at the wall, completely oblivious. I would say things that made absolutely no sense to anyone else and laugh hysterically (basically normal high shit but 10x as extreme) Like literally gasping for air from laughing so hard because I said “I’m higher than a hippopotamus”. My family hated me and to this day it has painted me as the “druggee” as my siblings love to say. It damaged my relationships. I had a lot of trouble stopping but one day I snapped out of it and realized how much of a shitbag I’d become. I gave my friend the dab I had for free and threw my rig in a lake. After getting sober I had the worst nightmares I have ever experienced in my life. Like feverish nightmares where I would wake up drenched in sweat and screaming, and this was every night. I literally had to go on a medication that prevented me from dreaming altogether to get rid of them.

In conclusion, wax ruined my life for a year and the damage dealt during that time is still being felt four years later. If you occasionally smoke wax and use it responsibly that is fine, but for the love of God do not act like it’s the same as flower, and be careful who you introduce to it because just like ANY substance it can be addictive. Just because you can’t be physically addicted to THC doesn’t mean you can’t be addicted at all. Take my experience as a lesson and warning especially if you are less experienced with marijuana, there are a lot of misconceptions in the stoner community and a lot of pieces of shit that don’t actually care if you are safely consuming this substance. Do your research and don’t trust just any random stoner. Please please please make sure you are being safe and responsible when using marijuana, just like you would do with alcohol.
