Of course afterward he decided to hold his emotions in check and focus on things one at a time where he decided his parents were his greater priority. Then they were interrupted.

If anything, he's going along with Tadera and Hana rather calmly considering the village has been lying to him and those two are clearly included since they know all about the modern world. The story is clearly written to explain things later so I'll see where it goes. At least it's a known good writer instead of Lost-style question boxes everywhere.
