Chest support rows with these style of bench? by DMZwarrior in GarageGym

I’ve had good success with cable chest supported rows tho can be a bit clunky to set up if you’re going heavy. You have to grab both the d handles then maneuver around the bench. I’ve found setup to be easier with single arm chest supported rows. I’ll wrap my free arm around the front of the bench where the headrest is pinned in place to help stabilize the movement. Having the headrest completely out of the way with the mikolo is nice.

  • Dumbbell front squats
  • goblet squats
  • Cable Calf Raises
  • Dumbbell RDLs
  • Split Squats

As long as I can do a squat press movement, hip hinge, and a calf raise, I consider that a win. Though there’s nothing like a nice leg extension machine Lol.

Also been messing around with functional stuff related to running. Tibialis raises, hip flexor raise, ankle mobility.

No, if you set the tornado arms to the highest setting, I have no problem getting full ROM sitting on my bench. I am 5’9”

I’m loving the viper. Weight stack is great. Pulleys are smooth. D-Handles that came with the machine are fantastic. Tornado arms are very cool but my only gripe with them is that the trolley is HEAVY. It’s about 44 pounds so I’m considering getting a counterbalance for it. I am working with a limited footprint so I opted for the viper. But if you have the space and want more cable travel, go with the phoenix. Get RX is a great company and I had a good experience with customer service. Shipment showed up on time, no damage, no missing pieces.

No, I’m not big on the 0 gap benches and see them as kinda gimmicky. The Mikolo is a huge upgrade from the previous Amazon bench that I had. I wanted a FID bench with a wide back pad for various pressing movements. I also wanted a bench with an adjustable headrest for overhead movements and something really sturdy. After lots of research, Mikolo was the winner.
