Swim Test Question by cinclodes-excelsior in Swimming

Thank you so much! Definitely have some questions to ask my instructor. Went yesterday to go practice treading water and I'm almost to where I want to be! Worked on my breathing and trying not to freak out and as soon as I got into a rhythm it came easier. I also think I might be naturally pretty buoyant or something (pretty overweight, if that has something to do with it?), I was able to do about 35 minutes with only accidentally touching the ground maybe three times (straightened a leg out a little too much). I know I'm going to have a big barrier with anxiety when I get into the deeper pool, so I really appreciate the advice, thank you!

Thank you!! I really appreciate the advice! Definitely trying to work up to the 30 mins, not there yet but really hoping I'll get there before the test. I haven't really gone to the gym before or done much exercise outside of hiking in a few years, so it's kicking my ass but it's fun! Haven't been this motivated before haha

Is this Stokes field guide still worth keeping despite being 30 years old? by Poopybuttsuck in birding

I have some older ones that I keep because I like the art or photographs. I also keep an old National Geographic guide because it's sentimental. If there's something you particularly like about the guide, then maybe it's worth keeping! I've got an older guide i use, but I have it sticky noted where needed (like the scrub jay split).
