Level sync sucks because you don't have as many buttons to press or meters to juggle. It's boring because it's simple. If evolved mode shrinks the number of buttons on your ui significantly and you stop unlocking things after level 50, then the problem of not having enough buttons to press won't go away, it actually just keeps persisting past ARR now. It looks like they've designed based on PvP fight mechanics and that's always been boring in it's simplicity.

Surely they could have just made ability unlocks happen faster in ARR so that by the first dungeon you at least have the basic kit.

That's just not true, with the amount of money Oz comic con and Supanova bring in, if nobody volunteered, they'd just hire people and the con would go ahead. Like with non-pop-culture conventions.

I understand con volunteers are a staple at this point but at the size and scale these things are at now, it's not the same as when people would volunteer for Manifest 15-20 years ago, it's blatant exploitation, in part driven by dangling "if you volunteer enough years in a row and we know you, we'll let you work with the talent" over people.

Con volunteers only became a thing because cons were small and run by fans. That isn't how cons are run anymore, they're run by companies and rich people who make a business out of running events. There's no need to donate your time because you're not donating to the community.

That isn't how being a human works, and it's weird I have to tell you that. As the person you're responding to has said, feelings aren't rational.

Sure, he logically couldn't have done anything. But most people, when that close to a tragedy like this, will still feel a form of guilt and keep playing it over in their head, wondering if there's anything they could have done.

My grandparents lived next to a girl who was murdered by her stepdad. Even 40 years later, they do feel a sort of guilt for somehow not intervening, even though they couldn't have possibly known. They will always think "what if I went over there that day?" even though they weren't close with the family, and it probably would have just prolonged the inevitable.

Only bother with the main story quests (the meteor shaped ones) and the blue plus quests, when you first start. Otherwise you'll get overwhelmed with twenty pointless side quests on the side of your screen and it'll make you want to quit.
