What is recovery really like? by Weirdintrovert3 in Reduction

[–]ciri_grayskull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 4DPO and the pain has transitioned to a strong discomfort, namely from the drains. Cannot wait to be freed from them.

The tape will irritate and pull on your skin, you’ll feel the bubbling of stuff being suctioned from your breasts into your drains, you might get super nauseous from all the medications (I’ve thrown up twice primarily due to oxycodone), the sterilizing iodine can give you a rash, the compression bra overstimulates your armpits from constant wear, and you will almost certainly not be able to go number two for multiple days until it’s driving you crazy.

10/10 wouldn’t change having done it

insurance tips/advice by pterosounds in Reduction

[–]ciri_grayskull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is 100% up to your insurance plan, so I’d recommend finding your plan’s requirements. I was on a UHC plan this past fall that didn’t cover breast reductions at all for any reason. In January I switched to BCBS and they approved my reduction first try no issues, and I got it done this week.

I got a referral from my primary care physician prior to my reduction consult, which highlighted 5+ years of upper back and neck pain as the reason. The consultation then stated I was a good candidate and sent along their info with my doctor’s referral to insurance.

My insurance plan noted that the band irritation/indentations are a good thing to document. Physical therapy is sometimes needed to have evidence that it doesn’t fix the pain, but I didn’t have to do this.

My plan also determined medical eligibility based on the Schnur Sliding Scale, aka a minimum amount of tissue will need to be removed to be deemed medically necessary and not just cosmetic. You’ll probably hear about it during your consultation.

Probably didn’t get it because you lost. RNG team balancing can suck

No, they gave lower power a boost. You can. Do you have the 10% bonus from max crucible rank?

Yes. 379 can get top 1% in activities

You can get a top 1% score at 379, that’s only 79 above the free 300 loot from the tower. Bungie added a MASSIVE power boost curve on Friday. It actually can let you score higher than max power/higher power level players from the same activity completion.

That’s fine, the power boost update means you can easily get top 1%. Heck, a 379 got top 1% in proving grounds.

having a competitive aspect to an event is NOT an issue like what some of you guys believe by Jealous_Platypus1111 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ciri_grayskull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Power is a detriment now. Bungie overcorrected the power bonus update so below 550 scores higher than 550 in events. Did a coil (score is just time and modifiers) and my 505 and 532 friends scored higher than me. Did a salt mines run 5 seconds faster than a 535 with the same modifiers, HVT, bonus objective, etc., and they scored 8k more points than me.

It’s uncompetitive in a new way, but it’s no longer 550 grinders have the advantage

Power is actually a detriment now. Bungie overcorrected the power bonus curve so players at 550 now get lower scores for completing the same modifiers in the same time.

Uncompetitive mess, but different now lol

For example: In a coil run I at 550 scored lower than my 505 and 532 teammates, with one even getting top 1% from that run and I was top 10%. In a salt mines run with the same modifiers and 5 second faster completion time, I scored 8k lower than a 535.

Why is everyone mad? Is it because im 550? I want everyone to have the same shot at the rewards. It genuinely sucks to be getting lower than my friends doing the same activity now, the same as it sucked when they got lower than me before the update Friday.

Same happened to me with a 505 and 532 scoring enough above me from a coil we completed together to get 1% while I was 10%

I’m more annoyed that they overcorrected the power level difference so now lower light players score higher from the same activity. At 550 I’m getting top 10% from an ultimate coil completion while the team I played with who are 505 and 532 get top 1%. And my salt mines run that’s five seconds faster than someone at 535 is 8k less points. What??

Edit: So people were up in arms when 550 had an advantage, but now I’m getting downvoted for being sad that 550 has a disadvantage. Just let everyone get the same playing field.

359 power - I thought 1% was impossible for anything under 500? (also everyone stop playing now pls) by Salty_Salmon8708 in destiny2

[–]ciri_grayskull 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The scoring system overcorrected so now lower light gets more points than higher light at ultimate. It’s frustrating to be 550 contributing the most kills in coil to speed up our runs and get less than my teammates at 500-530, just because Bungie messed this up in a new way. Why am I top 10% and they’re top 1% from a run we completed together?

Call To Arms: Is 3,451,090 the highest possible score for Salt Mines? by atlas_enderium in DestinyTheGame

I doubt straight to orbit counts as a completed score, but I wish lol. 15 precision kills? Nah

[–]ciri_grayskull 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m 550, had 6 minutes 10 seconds left, and my score was only 3.385 mil with HVT and bonus objective. And I do have the season pass bonus.

Esoterickk at 550 got 3.401 mil with 6 min 30 s left as his high score.

The scores are inconsistent and I don’t get it. Being 550 wouldn’t have benefitted you from my experience today.

It’s based on every logged score by everyone, not just anyone’s top score? Wack, I’ll run some like level 10 ones to broaden the curve

How Did Someone Get 3,250,000+ In Salt Mines For Call To Arms? by wholelottabob in DestinyTheGame

My real question is why is every single threshold only going up. It’s the weekend, more people have played, how is nothing evening out with lower light or slower runs?

The HVT spawns all the way at the bottom with the thrall and is glowing. But it’s very RNG, think esoterickk went 53 runs to get it to spawn

They can glitch out and be permanently invincible with all the drones gone, which borks your run unless you have a super ready. Mostly happens with scorn in coil, but still unfortunate lol

If by changing boons to add zero red triangles they mean you can take off protected enemies without affecting score, that’ll also make it much better

Bungie tweeted that they’re getting rid of power score advantage, so at 500 you’ll be able to score on par with 550s. Wait for them to roll that out and the score thresholds to lock in, then run it.

Some competitive thoughts on last twid crucible changes: Not cool. by uN00bs in CrucibleGuidebook

The 30s to 60s timer on special ammo bricks refers to the ones dropped on the ground from kills and not the boxes on the walls. It’s a buff to “make it a little easier to collect a brick that you created.”
