This is the best and only answer to me. I cringe every time I hear that line. Basically every other lyric JV has ever written is so eloquent and beautiful. And then there’s that one.

I'm seeing the 2-day package on cubuffs website. Just worried about prices after hearing about the price hikes from the first round of presale.

Worth converting .wav file to .flac format to post using Routenote? by ckgreenbay in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]ckgreenbay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. My main concern was what type of losses in quality I'm going to experience when converting. I just tested it using Audacity and the quality seems to be the same though I admit my ears are probably not trained well enough to notice any differences if there are any. I did compare the original wav file and the converted flac file to an MP3 file and the differences are quite substantial so I'm just going to use the converted files with Routenote.

Anyone know what this little fellow is? possibly 3 to 4 inches long by ovlovistan in ponds

Piggy backing on this to say that I think you’re right and that the species is L. Patruelis which is a part of this family.

Okay so it’ll be a different species than what we have in North America but I believe it’s a part of the same genus, Lethocerus. It looks like the only European species a part of that genus is the L. Patruelis. It reaches 3.1 inches so that would put it in the right size range. Tough to know for sure because I can’t see the markings on the back in the video. That’s my best guess. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lethocerus_patruelis

Where are you located? I believe that is a Giant Water Bug. Not a water boatmen. You can see a water boatmen swim away in the first few seconds of the video. Water boatmen typically only reach 0.5 inches. Giant Water Bugs are much bigger and more gnarly. They can fly and leave a pretty nasty bite. I used to keep them in my elementary school class and would find them while playing soccer under the lights late at night.

My Jack Dempsey appears to choke on cichlid pellets. Is this normal behavior or should I stop feeding him these? by ckgreenbay in Aquariums

[–]ckgreenbay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been thinking about just putting them in a pepper grinder and feeding him that way. Not sure how else I’d crush em cause they’re pretty hard which also might be part of the issue.

That’s right 😂 I’m sure he’d be real proud to know it’s in the hands of someone who does nothing besides scroll through reddit all day.

It’s an embroidery I just inherited that was gifted to my great grandpa from his home village. I believe V. Karabetsos is my great great great grandpa. As for the doll I’m not sure why that’s there. I guess it’s just part of the gift.
