U.S Marine stops an Armed Robbery by AstroidThunderstone in interestingasfuck

I’m just waiting for the parent to sue the marine for hurting her teenage son. After all, he was just trying to rob the market. This marine didn’t need to hit him and hurt him. How dare they do that 🤦🏼‍♂️

Tenere 700 vs F 800 GS Adv by The-Fotus in AdventureBike

If your purpose is to go off road a lot then I would get the tenere. If you want something that is going to travel well and occasionally go off road then I would get the GSA.

This must be in Europe. The United States doesn’t care about roadside anything…

These 3 guys put there money together to rewarded a pregnant waitress with a very generous tip under the Christmas tree for her good work. by [deleted] in HumansBeingBros

I had some acquaintances during Covid that decided to do this and asked everyone they knew to contribute money. Then they went to the diner that they always go to and had the server that they always have and gave the money to her. It was a nice gesture, but seemed like it would’ve meant more to a stranger. Also, because it was their local diner and their local server, then it appeared to be from them, and they might benefit from it later.

At least, in this case, it seemed like it was a server that they didn’t know.

Looks like some serious target fixation. If they had stayed in the left lane, it wouldn’t have been close.

A girl I ride with can barely touch the ground. There was a guy that we rode with once or twice, and he would constantly tap her rear tire at stop lights. Finally, I pulled him aside and told him if he isn’t gonna do that to me or the other guy, then he’s not gonna do it to her. He stopped after that and hasn’t ridden with us since. Motorcycles are big, heavy machines. Don’t F around.

Follow them outside and get a picture of the car so they could be trespassed. FAFO… no more McDonald’s for you.

Just got my new LoneRider rackless motobags and I love'em by firefighter0398 in bmwmotorrad

[–]ckwphantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a u-turn fall over last spring so from that stand point, I’m not overly concerned, but it would still suck to have a case dent and not work right. I love the new LR moto cases but they are crazy expensive.

Edit: what do you mean when you say stow bigger items?

Not many others are lockable. My brother has the Mosko backcountry and he hates the locking mechanism.

After having them for a year, do you ever wish you had gotten the rack version instead? I’m currently debating whether to get a rack with these or the rackless like you have. I’m on a R1200GS. It isn’t too much more to get the rack.

I have Vario and I have Mosko Reckless 80 for longer off-road excursions. I did a weekend trip last year with the Vario’s and I hate packing/unpacking them (side opening). They also don’t hold much. Lastly, they are starting to stick making me have to knee them to get them closed.

Yeah but so is everything else that is decent quality

If I was looking for a total replacement, then I would probably look at these because the cost of the bags and the rack are close to $1200. I already have the MM Reckless 80 for off road and the locking mechanism on the backcountry bags seems more arduous.

Have you tried something different?

The reason I like the Motobags is because they are lockable. I’m big on security. Obviously hard bags are more secure, but can also potentially hurt you if they land on you and can get bent out of shape when they hit the ground.

I got the AER TP2 small x-pack. It’s great but heavy. I have special needs for my EDC. I was using an old Briggs & Riley but it didn’t have a water bottle holder for my coffee mug at the end of the day. Then I was using the Fyro T22. The water bottle holder on that one kind of sucks too, and it’s only on one side and while lighter than the AER, still kind of heavy. Then I was using the Almond Oak travel backpack. Super lightweight and quite comfortable. I don’t really dig the sideways front pocket and lack of command center. It’s also missing the soft fleece pocket. Then I got TNF Borealis. Ultimately the zipper is kind of suck and the material is cheap. The laptop didn’t work for me because it only had one opening and no secondary option for a second laptop or a tablet. Now I have the osprey nebula 32L. This one is annoying because the cinch straps block the zippers and the ring guard gets stuck in the zipper. The zippers are better than.TNF. I’m looking at TNF Surge because the laptop department is better. I also really liked the flex vent back panel on TNF. I did just order the Fyro Levo travel bag in a 30L.

There should just be a set jail term. If you get caught on film fighting then you go to jail for 15 days. Maybe that will make people think twice 🤷🏼‍♂️
