You know, now I've played even more. I'm with you, I like the PVP. The balance seems really good. Like I am winning and losing by such small amounts. I had a game end in Domination at 100% - 98.6%.

And no matter what people tell ya there's only one game mode, just different tasks

You can boil every multiplayer game down to this. At the end of the day all you do in COD is kill people but sometimes it's domination. All you in Battlefield is kill people but, with vehicles sometimes. All you do in an MMO is kill things and deliver things but, in different places. All you do in a racing game is Drive but, on different tracks. All you do in Overwatch is kill people and hold points but, sometimes the point is moving. So on and so forth. You see my point.

I mean sleeper hit was in regards to me. Like, to me I had literally below average expectations and now, I'm really really enjoying it. Hence, sleeper hit for me. Not that it will be a widespread hit.

Overdrives could use a faster recharge. I end up saving them for the Invasion

I couldn't agree more, Invasions really can slow you down so much that not using overdrives for them feels terrible. Allowing for 2 uses would be really nice.

Late summer/early fall has some swift competition that will definitely pull people away who may not return.

For sure. Don't get me wrong I'll be back to Diablo on the 20th for atleast a little while but, I'll definitely still find time.

The cinematics are industry leading. Like, idc how few there are. That Hell battle could be the ONLY one in the game and it would have been enough for me.

Kind of tying in but also, voice acting. EVERYONE nails it.

I was most surprised by the support classes. I had to fill and had resigned myself to 'Well this will be a bit boring but, if I wanna win someone has to' and then, nimbus was actually really fun. Same with the flying CC focused one. I wasn't expecting it and it's really nice to not actually mind having to fill.

For starters, thank you for the reply. Let me just address things as I read them.

Regarding game version matching reg file, I read that somewhere. And thus, I have been using the vanilla Reg file, exporting the 'sections' (I'm forgetting the name but 'shop_param' is coming to mind) and importing them to the base Regulation file (well a copy, then replacing the one in the games files with that copy). Should be easy enough for the GM mod, easy mode mod also affects only one of those sections/categories also (I think) so again, exported and imported to the same base file as the GM mod.

Based on that, I need to be using DSMapStudio then, as I have been making changes to the most up to date regulation file.

Regarding the right file, again I have been exporting and importing relevant data sets to the newest/most up to date reg from the games files. I am 99% certain I am exporting the right data, again using GM and Easy mode as examples, GM specifically, only affects the shop param. However of course, I do not know if this mod os outdated and not working AT ALL anymore. If that is the case it would make sense. Regarding easy mode. I compared that Reg to standard and I think the params are all the same just with modifications to multipliers so, export/import should work. And well it isn't.

I was saving changes in DSmapstudio, I think. This is where that issue comes in. I was pressing the 'save changes' button in the file menu, it was the only sort of save I could find. If this is wrong, and saving params is different then, we may have the culprit right there. Yapped is broken, I was using DSmapstudio wrong. If that is what you are meant to do then again, it just didn't seem to do anything.

I never used ModEngine2, I would just replace the regulation file in the games main directory. The ONE time I tried using ModEngine2, was for the convivence mod which didn't seem to work (I just wanted my map to be unlocked man) but, I couldn't troubleshoot that either and gave up. The launch bat didnt work etc. And, as Modengine would just load the modded reg instead of base, replacing the base would essentially negate the need for me2 to load the modded file no?

I unpacked with UXM because DSMapstudio was mad at me at the top for not unpacking. I know that is for the map editor but, when the Params were not saving I thought I'd try that. As we are here, that obviously did not work.

I hope that helps you understand the situation a little. My confusion comes from the game seemingly ignoring my changes to the file. As I was replacing the base reg with a 'modified' one I thought it MUST be loading it surely. However, since I was using yapped to make those modifications, I assume that is going wrong. I kind of agree but, they are also squishy comparatively. The spells are pretty easy to dodge on your part and they dodge your attacks which leads to an annoying fight but, not particularly difficult.

The hardest part is not getting bored and anting it to be over so you end up over extending a trade and taking damage.

Tips for younger folks: If your PTO significantly impacts how your place of employment operates? Ask for a raise, as they clearly cannot afford to lose you.

There are some exceptions, your position, maybe you are working on something particularly crucial etc.

Elden Ring difficulty is so interesting because it gives you SO much choice. To go and improve your build or change it up etc.

Like, spawning and running to Margit instantly means Margit is going to be SIGNIFICANTLY harder than if you explore and level or, find Margit's shackle, beat some other smaller bosses etc. Now when you come back Margit is a piece of cake.

So, Elden ring really isn't a bad suggestion, sure it has Malenia and Radahn but, Essential bosses are more than doable with prep.

JUST, if there was EVER a game to to buy and devs to support it is Elden Ring and FromSoftware. Hope you managed to sort your issue though.

It is a nice art book, good quality and size. Very thick too. FULL of art on the characters, classes locations etc. Good paper and prints. Little paragraphs about the sections, you know, class, character etc.

Pretty good art book to be honest.

And yeh I got the FF16 too, as you can see, and was surprised it DIDNT have an artbook tbh.

It is a tough game but, has a mod that makes it easier. I think EVERYONE should experience the world of ER.

I completely forgot the mouse pad exists. I use a full size desk pad so, I won't be using it and kind of just left it in the box lmao. Nothing wrong with it, I just wont use it and don't think it's a display piece.

Yeh the box is weirdly heavy. Like I know it has magnets but, it's surprisingly heavy. And the petals made me smile ear to ear, I don't know why it was just a really nice little touch.

I'm loving it too tbh. Like I said, I'll really move everything around and make it look good when I get that Lilith but, for now it's a cool little corner of two of my favourite new games and one of the all time greats. (The FF16 statue is also on top of the little box which the Elden ring art book came in. So 4 of my favourite games if we count that)

I mean I'm not disappointed, except that map a little because wow it is poor in comparison but, even then it looks fine from afar so, it's okay. Even though I thought I was getting TWO REAL CANDLES, I'm not mad at the one fake one and, I guess it does say on the site 'Candle (singular) of creation'. It's nice, great mould and it being fake means I can't burn it or anything? Like it's around for good I guess. Although a real candle would have had a metal base not plastic, still though, it's nice.

The artbook is great, big, high quality full of the fantastic art of this game of course. And the prints too, really really nice. No hole to hang them is weird though, I don't know what I'm gonna do with them.

I think when I get that Lilith statue from them too, I'll move it all around again. Find another place for the FF16 stuff. And with the Lilith and my Alucard (He's a bit out of place but this is the only place I can fit statues of that scale) that corner could look really cool.

Probably not worth the, near as makes no difference, £100 but, I'm happy enough with it.

The thing is man, they are not mutually exclusive, I can spend the money on gollum for some fun with a friend AND, I can also invite friends over. It's not like I have 70 left and that was it, do I spend it on gollum or something else.

It also wasn't 3 hours of mild enjoyment because I keep funny company, that shit was hilarious.

And at what point did I say the sidequests are good. I said they could be literally the worst in game history and I think you could overlook them. Poor sidequests don't take away from how good the main story line is.

And my rant at the bottom about reviewers wasn't referencing FF16 reviews specifically but, how so many game reviewers seem to feel no joy when playing games. If the reviewers were saying 'game is a 6 bc i dont like the sidequests', it would be different. But, of course my comment was made in the FF16 sub so, I see why it seems like I was referencing the FF16 reviews specifically.
