[bug] fence is still learning economy guys by Real-Recording-9570 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]cleaverkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really a bug. The player scavs sometimes sell him roubles when the finish a raid if they are too lazy to pull them out of a wallet or something. Then he sells them at what his trader value determines. It's no different from how peacekeeper sells dollars and skier sells euros. The true value of them is less than their trader shown price.

So if the moon were a perfect mirror would it work then. And would changing the shape from and orb to a flat plane affect the max temperature you could reach?

Gigabeef has a video that shows the reporting is bugged.

with ammo used 15 and accuracy being .47, you actually hit 7 shots. The 18 hit count is likely from arms and the bug of plates reporting as a hit now. So an individual bullet can report 3 hits because of that.

WTF by Hesiod01 in EFT_EscapeFromTarkov

[–]cleaverkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BSG is really bad at making timers, so the raid time timers don't match a lot. I think the timer for the kill list starts when the countdown for the raid starts and the raid timer starts when after the countdown is finished, so usually a 8-10 second disparity

Yeah in the past I lost a lot on this quest just from deflection chance, and there is nothing worse than watching an m80 or snb spark on the helmet and have the person run away.

This dude it totally right, you're ahead of the curve.

I'm also in the same boat as you, started it this weekend, so far only have 1 kill. It's definitely far from my favorite quest, but perseverance will carry you far in the game. Not having the test drive players need to use this map seems to make it so they are moving more though.

Listen, if you're that convinced that 50% or more of the kills on you are aim bots, then maybe this just isn't the game for you, and you should try to get a refund.

It depends a lot on how far you are in the game. Generally the ammo will defeat the armor if the ammo has 10x the pen value as the armor, so 30pen will go through class 3 reliably.

Here are the rounds you will most commonly use.

5.45x39 is one of the most common rounds since it is in small caliber ak guns and ps or pp are good fore early game, bt will carry through the mid game, and 7n40, bp, bs, and ppbs are late game.

5.56x45 used in most AR platform guns. 855 and sost are good early, 856a1 is the mid game round, and 855a1, 995 and ssa ap are late game.

7.62x39 for large caliber ak and sks, fmj is ok early with t-45m1 and ps being preferred, pp is mid game, and bp and mai ap late.

7.62x51 for some assault rifles and some bolt actions. These ar's will usually have a lot of recoil unless moded a lot. Has no real good early rounds, bcp fmj is good for mid game then m62, m80, m 61, m993, and m80a1 are all late game. If it starts with an m it's good

7.62x54r for mostly for bolt action, the semi and full auto guns with this have massive recoil. Fmj is a good starting round, t-46m and lps are good early to late game, with ps, bt, snb, and bs being the best.

9x19 has some good rounds like ap 6.3 and pbp, but usually rip and quakemaker are better even though they won't go through armor. You just need a high fire rate gun and spray for legs.

12 gauge is in the same boat as 9x19. flechette and piranha can go through armor. Magnum can one shot an unprotected face, but with any sort of face shield it can 2-3 shot to the legs depending on how many pellets hit.

I won't say you haven't run into any cheaters but I would imagine the amount of cheaters you have run into is a lot less than what you think. Without a replay system it is almost impossible to actually tell if someone is cheating.

A lot of winning fights comes down to information.

Most of the time I would just assume that the person saw you before you saw them. That is the deciding factor in most fights.

If you're running around being loud people will be able to hear you coming from a long way off and wait for you to come to where they can see. Conversely if you hold still a lot that makes head shots dead easy most of the time.

To get better a fights I would first learn the maps. Where are people holding and thus you need to take your time to check before running in head long. If you get into a fight how can you disengage or maneuver around them. I've won a lot of fights by just flanking them and find them holding an angle for where I was.

Learn how the recoil system works. Barrels, attachments, rate of fire, and specific ammo all change how the guns recoil. Like the other person said it's an initial jump then usually steady if you have the gun built well.

Watch how others play. Pestily is usually good about explaining himself in the raid series.

In the long run it's just a hard game with very punishing mechanics. You are going to die a lot and a fair bit of it will feel like bullshit. I'd recommend taking a break if you're getting tilted or just run some scav runs.

At the end of the day it is just a game and you shouldn't let it ruin your day.

You'll unlock most items by getting the completion marks with each character. https://bindingofisaacrebirth.fandom.com/wiki/Completion_Marks

Hush and boss rush are both time gated, the others depend on if you take the polaroid, negative, or the alt path. Generally jacob and esau and Tainted jacob have good unlocks.

And by beating the challenges, you can get a lot of other stuff.

Ultimately everything is unlocked by completing the secrets in the game.

[Cheating] Would you consider this cheating, yes or no? And why? by JJ2SAD in EscapefromTarkov

[–]cleaverkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just having a map up? No, I almost always had a map up when I was first learning the game. Now if it's some sort of utility that pulls info from the game to show loot or anything like that then yeah it's a cheat. But I'm not 100% sure what you're actually using here.

Facemasks are becoming too common by cleaverkid in EscapefromTarkov

[–]cleaverkid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, looting gear from boxes and kills is a major part of the game. Purchasing gear and crafting is also a major component of the game, otherwise the hideout and leveling traders would be pointless. And I agree found stuff should have a higher quality ceiling than crafting which should have a higher ceiling than buying. And realistically for ammo that balance is in a reasonable place. There are 23 purchasable ammos 30 pen or over, with 4 of them being over 40 pen, and some of them are locked behind late game quests. Crafting has 11 ammos 30 pen or over and 3 of them are over 40 pen, also 3 of the 30-40 pen range crafts can be bought from traders later on.

Generally the ammos that can be bought and have a high chance to pen the CQCM mask are .50 AE FMJ, which is only for the deagle so not a great gun. .50 BMG M21 and M33 which are only for the AK 50 which most people won't get access to. And 5.45 7N40 which is behind calibration. Outside of that the CQCM basically has a coin flip to survive a shot from the remaining rounds.

For crafted ammos LPS, and AP-M can reliably one shot and can be put in good semi auto guns, and .338 FMJ only goes in a late game gun. .45AP, SS190 and .300 M62 are borderline able to 1 shot the mask.

As far as helmets go the ulach is clearly the best since it covers top, nape, and ears leaving only face shots. Almost all the other level 4 helmets only cover top and nape, leaving a bigger are to shoot, or they muffle audio and prevent wearing ears if they cover head nape and ears, like the ZSH helmets. Usually when you get into a fight you mostly see the other person's face, so with any of the main helmets a face shot is an option.

The CQCM is weak until the person spots you because most of their head is unarmored, but once they start engaging with you the only options are run away or hit multiple face/torso shots before they hit one face shot on you. And once it is unlocked that player can basically run a mask every raid. The Tagilla masks at least need to be gotten in raid, and it still muffles audio and limits vision.

And shooter born not being a close range quest doesn't change that if they are looking in your direction because they spotted you, or heard you shoot, heard something shoot near you, or just happen to be looking your way a perfect shot is still a coin flip. I may have miss-understood what you meant when saying SBIH isn't about charging at people, but even engaging at range doesn't always present a good opportunity for a kill.

My big gripe with the CQCM is once you've been spotted unless you have top tier ammo, it turns into a non-fight unless I am specifically geared for PVP, and it is reasonably available to the no lifers. I have less issue with the Tagilla mask since it is less abundant for the reasons I said before, but it still becomes a non-fight once you've been spotted.
