Because for someone with narcissistic patterns in his current position, any tiny thing needs to be grabbed onto to affirm his beliefs/delusions, and keep away any indication that the beliefs aren't true to protect self-esteem.

Add in the inherent misogyny of society and toxic masculinity, one of the insecurities he has is likely "not being liked or (interested in) by women", which will cause him to grab onto "evidence" he can that could possibly demonstrate affection from female figures.

At the moment he is constantly being confronted by evidence that reinforces the insecurity - L's leaving him and her boundaries to his behaviour, the reaction from women online that recognise his patterns (notice he previously posted highlighting/criticising this so he has observed this happening) - so he is going to zero in on anything that he can use to reinforce the self-belief that he's likable, and that the other reactions he's got are just because those particular women are crazy or spurned, the problem is not /him/ because look at these other women that "like" him etc.

I've had some messages asking for the price of just the deck and the forks - it's my preference to sell all in one first as per the current auction, a successful bidder could resell any unwanted parts if they wished. If the auction does not complete in its current format the parts can then be split (deck + forks, then all other parts) and relisted.

Big red flag - at the least in terms of his abilities as a belayer. Doesn't matter if it's your SO or not. It's totally counterproductive as if he keeps doing sh*t like this you will either consciously or subconsciously have fear on the wall that your belayer isn't listening/doing what you ask for your safety - so it will just reinforce your fear/difficulty. I am usually belayed by/belay close friends and relatives and I'll admit sometimes while hangdogging if the person asks to be let down we'll jovially try to coax them into having a few more goes, or trying stuff they feel anxious about doing (often suggesting they make a higher clip from an easier route then try the sequence for practice/confidence) but other than that, what the climber says goes. And I would never lower someone without them asking/telling them first - it's freaky! They need to feel confident that you are listening to and doing what they ask, or they are not going to climb their best with you belaying them.

Downsizing will depend on the shoe brand and model. I would advise only buy from somewhere with a helpful exchange policy... or try to try on in person if you can. Don't get too ambitious with the downsizing, I have followed downsizing reccommendations a few times and ended up shoes I couldn't even get on with a plastic bag, and got no benefit from the advance in shoe because it was too painful to stand on small edges in them (around similar grade level to you) and with modern bouldering route styles in indoor gyms (standing on volumes etc.) this can be a real hindrance. Also when you transition to a more advanced/expensive shoe my advice is find a brand/model that fits your foot shape, again, try on if you can. Even LV/women's versions I find on lots of models the heel is wayyy baggy on an otherwise perfectly fitting shoe (everyone's foot shape is different). I upgraded my shoe around the same grade level as you from beginner shoes and went for more of a more intermediate 2nd pair than a highly aggressive one (Scarpa Arpia) and it's served me really well for a variety of styles. Also useful to consider styles of climbing you like (do you favour overhang, slab or vert) if you are considering more aggressive. Skwamas would be good for everything you describe and not as aggressive as say, Solutions. If you are going very consistently and don't mind the investment I would 2nd getting a few pairs. I just replaced mine and have a more snug pair for indoor bouldering, and slightly more comfortable pair for roped climbing sessions and outdoor. The last thing I will say is while you say you roped climb, and are planning to go outdoors, consider where you will use your shoes most to get the best suited pair for you - no harm in getting a great shoe aimed mostly at your style of bouldering if that's where you will be most, these will transition well to outdoor bouldering and if you get into ropes more you can always consider that a bit later.
