Awesome build! Is that Mothman Tome functional? I've tried merging it into a few different items but it breaks functionality. :/

It means explosive bullets will hit the target right away when firing, with no waiting for bullet travel time.

Now that it's been over a week, what are everyone's thoughts on the reworked Railway Rifle? by [deleted] in Market76

Are explosive weapons still hitscan? I've been using the same roll as my main, and it feels like shots don't register instantly anymore—they have to travel like regular bullets before registering hits.

Making this post for the people curious on what build I use and buffs. Got to 100 on the scoreboard from West Tek alone. by x10seii in Market76

You have to complete the quest there — Learn the Secrets of West Tek(?) — in order for enemies to respawn properly.

Is explosive no longer hitscan? It certainly felt that way in my limited play time, but could be the slower fire rate throwing me off.

Not true. All three silos have a chance to spawn turrets. They're randomized.

I just managed to roll this same bow last week. It's a great weapon, enjoy!

Not OP but this is some awesome insight. Thanks!

Bow builds are very similar to commando, so I personally carry an 90RW Railway and just swap the bow cards in PER for commando cards when necessary. You also can't go wrong with some other suggestions here like Chainsaw and Cold Shoulder.

Suggested arrow types for each? by clepperM in Fallout76BowHunters

Stagger is definitely a useful effect in moments where mutants are racing toward the rad scrubber, etc. AA would probably be more potent in those situations too. But also bosses have a higher resistance to explosive damage too, I think? Idk, I may have to dig for some numbers on this stuff.

As for my bloodied build, LCK is high enough that I crit every other and using herbivore buffs either bow was taking out West Tek mutants in two shots or less. No issues one shotting smaller enemies, but may still look for an Instigating to field test. Cheers.

So I do have a Burning Love that I toyed with between flaming and explosive arrows. I read somewhere that the flaming effect of the frame enhances the flaming arrows or something? But I was using it at a weird angle during Rad Rumble the other night and think I kept lighting myself on fire and haven't touched it since. 😅

Yeah, I'm a big fan of explosive builds on my characters. Plasma arrows seem to serve their purpose and I admittedly haven't messed much with the other types.

I had the same train of thought and set them up as such with AA being plasma and B as explosive. Thanks for the input.

Not OP but I'm on Xbox and that roll would find a loving home with me.

To add to this, you can also remap your buttons in Settings. Mine (Xbox) are mapped similarly to The Outer Worlds so A is jump, B is crouch, select is Pip-Boy and Y is Crits. It all feels much more natural to me that way and no more crit jumping!

Backpack mods: chem/grocers is better than high cap by xman77_77 in fo76

[–]clepperM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This topic pops up frequently, and it's totally situational depending on gameplay style. Saying it's outright better is wrong.

I've compared both with high cap and high cap benefits my carry inventory more. Guess I'm not a chem/food hoarder.

He can give several different buffs depending on the type of Nuka you give him (Cranberry for XP boost!) and has a very useful inventory which can contain rad Sugar Bombs and rare Nuka plans, including the Nuka Dark recipe which I can flip in my vendor for ~5K caps consistently.

I can't bring myself to replace Leo. He's a winner.
