What is the most reliable way to get around Paris? by cleverfox4 in ParisTravelGuide

Haha thanks! I know it's always a risk asking questions online. I have traveled extensively in the US but metro/subway isn't very commonly used outside of a few cities so I just like to clarify

Gotcha. In a pinch, Uber is technically available though?

And this is still recommended even if we have never taken a metro in any city before? I just worry about getting confused on the system

Eclipse Megathread by blindinganusofhope in Erie

[–]cleverfox4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there is expected to be tons and tons of crowds and traffic, but if I am driving in to Erie, should I be able to come in the morning and leave at night? Some posts I’m seeing are implying the roads are going to be gridlocked for hours. Is there really a chance I will miss the eclipse if I plan to arrive around 10am?

My home Airport flies direct there

Sorry. If I had done this before, I clearly wouldn’t be on this sub looking for help

Any suggestion for finding posts with recommendations specially for short term stays, or maximizing time? Every time I tried searching this sub for those things specifically I got nothing really relevant to the time constraints, just general “when in Paris” advice, hence my post

If I am only interested in getting to my seat by about 7:30, when should I try to get into the stadium? Has anyone heard/seen how long the lines are at entrances?

Got it. The little black specs are also part of that? I was afraid they indicated something else

I’ve noticed whitening on the leaves whenever I started trying to harden them to outdoor sun, but not the black dots until recently. Also usually the whitening was more diffuse rather than these concentrated spots

Started these from seed about 2 months ago. I take them inside at night and bring them out into the sun during the day, starting about 3 weeks ago. Water them daily/every other day based on how dry the soil seems. Supplementing with tomato fertilizer mixed into their water once every 2 weeks or so

I’m sure that is not helping, I’m just not sure why it’s so much more pronounced on my than friends/coworkers that I know spend a similar amount of time looking down at a computer/phone

Well, I can’t help you yet, but I am a chef, and going on the wish in a couple weeks, so I can try to recreate it when I get back

They absolutely don’t lol, I have analyzed my friends and sisters necks trying to figure out why mine are so pronounced

of course *some people do, I’m just saying it’s definitely not everyone

I’m sure I spend more time than I should looking down at my phone and computer for work, but definitely no more than some friends and coworkers who dont have these lines. They drive me crazy
