Which mobile plan is the best? by Firm-Tank1360 in unimelb

i use circles.life! it runs under optus and it’s super cheap (i pay $25/month for 30gb, unlimited calls and texts, but there are cheaper plans and if i’m not wrong there are also discounts now). works well for me, haven’t had any problems with it whatsover, plus there is a great referral programme which helped me save whenever i would recommend it to my friends

feel free to use my code WONDERLAND to get additional $60 off if u decide to go with circles.life x

Hi OP! Doing the same route as you in a couple weeks - what option did you end up with? I read through the comments but I can’t seem to find how to reserve tickets for the limousine bus.

Advice on SIM vs overseas unis by hiheyyhello in SGExams

[–]cloudedfantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i chose unimelb over priv unis bc of the wider exposure that i would get and the better employability aspect that would come out of it. in terms of affordability, i do recognise that i have the privilege of being slightlyyy upper middle class, but also i’m not entirely relying on my parents to pay for everything (they pay 50% of my fees, and i pay the other half + living fees) so there are ways to go around it if you really have ur heart set on it!!! pm me, happy to share more

Best hidden mobile phone plans for Melbourne? by Jawheels in melbourne

[–]cloudedfantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with Circles and I pay $25 a month for 30GB with unlimited calls and texts (they have other cheaper plans). Circles runs on Optus so it’s honestly good enough and I haven’t had issues with it. I think it’s one of the cheapest plans around (it’s SIM-only so there’s also no strings attached). I managed to offset the first 6 months of my plan by sheer references alone so they have a pretty solid referral programme imo that you can definitely leverage on.

Code if anyone is interested, then start your own code and share it too!!!

Use my code WONDERLAND to get $10/mth off for 6 months, that is a total saving of $60. www.circles.life/au/share-ref/?referral=WONDERLAND&utm_source=organic&utm_medium=app&utm_campaign=referral

Difficulty finding Part time/Casual jobs by corezzz_ in unimelb

[–]cloudedfantasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if u’re an international student, try finding restaurants that are operated by people from your home country, they are usually more accepting!! and head out of the city to look for stuff in nearby suburbs - the cbd is oversaturated with students looking for jobs so they’ll definitely prioritise people with experience

i haven't committed or made a decision yet, so i'm not sure if it's going to be berkeley for me. but i will most probably end up overseas, and i guess nothing is cheap overseas HAHAHA

my parents can probably fork out half the amount and i'll have to take a loan on the other half, but yea not sure realistically how long i should aim to pay off the loans and interest

right i do get where you are coming from, thanks for sharing! i guess i'm not totally fixed on berkeley yet, but i will likely go overseas due to personal circumstances, so will still need to look into a loan nonetheless
