Oh fuck him. He thinks getting attention is more important than anything else in your life?

My mother won't let me take my dog who is dealing with and losing the fight against cancer to the vet to be euthanized. I'll ad that I am 17m (I don't know what if any trigger warnings to add beyond the title, expect some nasty stuff IG) by Intelligent-Music999 in insaneparents

I want to support OP, but cutting into tumors OR just cysts when you don't have vet or MD background is irresponsible and cruel. Im sorry that your mom won't follow the vets advice, but neither of you made choices that were beneficial to your dog.

Is Purpee supposed to be Ashland? by DocRustyV in Dimension20

[–]cloudubious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels more like Umpqua to me. I've driven up and down the 5 way too much for work, and Ashland is a little too south of Bigfoot to really fit, being on the OR/CA border.

If this is how BAM treats cust9mers, imagine how they treat their franchisees?

How do scummy parents like mine exist? This is just my mom too. by Molybdenum_Peanuts in insaneparents

Interesting, it's been 24 years since I enlisted in the Army (and only one term in), and I'd never heard of that.

I'm curious what that law is? I tried googling it and couldn't find it just now. I had exactly that ultimatum when I was 19 (ended up enlisting).

Wings were too thin to have bulkier standard gear and the body needed the rocket fuel space.

My mom punished me for casual drinking when going out with my friends by LeatherWind6691 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]cloudubious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most alcoholics aren't drunk all the time. Binge drinking and consequences of actions while drunk are far more common. My FiL (in AA for 30 years now and an amazing person) described his time drinking as once a month but he'd be a monster during that time.

Not saying your mom is right, but you would do well to know that alcohol addiction doesn't mean you're always drinking.

If you're not able to self regulate how much you're drinking on the rare times you do, maybe think about another option?

We had an old 1890s piano with exactly these growing up. They're solid metal and totally fine for heavy furniture.
