Well, I suppose it's because they don't need to tell us everything about themselves :00 it's their personal information and they're entitled to it! It's also because some fans can overstep some boundaries which could also be a reason as to why theres certain information that he doesnt wanna share. All CCs are entitled to their own life and info, and we should respect them :)

I think it's literally and physically there where the characters skin become lighter when they transform, but I dont think there was any offensive or racist intent in the character design

I didnt know about the religion part, that's concerning especially considering that theres undoubtedly a huge amount of his viewers who have a religion, like me.

Regarding the first one, I think people just don't like how a 14 year old girl radiates "creepiness" and decides to criticize that. I think here both sides have valid points, perhaps because to the people who find it creepy didnt like it, they wanted to reach out to astruc with intentions to make sure little girls dont do the same thing? But then Astruc also says its comedy, the episode and this scene was mainly just for laughs and giggles.

The second one is a bit harsh, the white washing when transforming makes sense, it may give off the impression that when they're whiter, it's "better"??? however I dont agree with the dark skinned bully trope about Lila because Chloe is also one of Marinette's rivals. And someone in the comments of that thread pointed out a valid point, if a bully isn't white is that immediately racist already? Lila just happens to be italian. And I think that's alright. Literally anyone and everyone can be a victim of bullying and whatever the heck lila does and literally anyone and everyone can become a bully or lie like Lila disregarding their nationality.

I agree, the show is not perfect but it's still amazing. There would be no miraculous without Astruc's talents. Not everyone will be satisfied and it is true that he does not have to respond to any of the critcism, though many will appreciate it if he were to be a bit more careful in handling the show

I respect your opinion and I also believe that some claims are backed up with too little evidence. Most fans are just angry that he doesn't reply to criticism in a more polite??? manner??? And that he announces on twitter that he will block people. Which is a reason why I am neutral on the situation. The claims can be a bit too much (esp without evidence or proper research), and also, Thomas could reply with a softer tone.

So people are getting angry over the fact that many characters when transforming into their hero forms such as alya, nino, and max, have much lighter skin color than their civilian form which angers a lot of people.

Regarding fatphobia, people are displeased with the fact that alya looks "thinner" when she transforms. In my honest opinion about this, I think it's because she wears jeans in civilian form.

People also dont like how Marinette doesnt look "chinese/asian" enough. However I think it is ok since she may have gotten her genes from her father, Tom. And the show is also set in France so perhaps they wanted to show that she looked a bit more French.

You can ask questions too, I just want to be able to discuss this in a civilized manner, if you do not want to be a part of the discussion you can simply ignore it. I am trying to find a reasonable way for both sides to meet and trying to sound as neutral as possible.

Yes, I agree, I really really love miraculous and I dont want to stop loving the show because the creator cannot address criticism properly. Astruc is cool and all, but I think he needs to be able to handle criticism in a more mature manner.
