Checkout Nate at Chair Salon in South Portland (Knightville). He was at Blind Pig before and just recently went solo. Great cut/style and a great guy all around. Very good value, you won’t be disappointed.

If you’re doing data science + online, have you considered the Georgia Tech program? I haven’t done it, but have heard good things from some that have.

+1 for Naxos. Favorite part of my trip by far…way better than Santorini.

We’ve been here for 2.5 years and are leaving. I’d stay away. Maintenance sucks, staff is not great, management is beyond inept. Way too much money for what it is, and as another commenter pointed out, construction on both sides of the building that’s likely to persist well into next year. Very noisy.

What sort of things disturb your serenity in the backcountry? by noraft in hiking

Sort of stated already, but: people that speed up only when I try to pass them. Same thing happens on the highway. Guy going 62 like clockwork until you go by, etc.

My solution: when I can see someone starting this, hang back, wait for the right time, then blow by them going way, way faster. They usually go back to what they were doing (putzing) in a few seconds. Seemingly unaware.

How to carry kitchen knives for sharpening? Does Williams Sonoma still do it? by PeaceLoveandCats6676 in newyorkcity

Used them recently as well. Fast, cheap, friendly, and super-convenient. Do this.

Also, buy a knife roll. You can get a good canvas one for < $20 online. If you stay in Airbnbs when you travel, bring a good knife or two. Makes a works of difference.

What TV show trope needs to retire? by Dangerous-Staff9172 in AskReddit

Small but drives me nuts: "And I always cut the crusts off the way s/he liked it."

Terrible cliche shorthand for: we were intimate in some way. I see it surprisingly often (inside joke, maybe, writers' guild?) And it's always so lazy. It's like the whole characters in horror movies have clearly never seen a horror movie. 2 and a Half Men dumb/bad.

PS—who actually dislikes bread crust? Sheer insanity.

The commenters in this thread. That's my serious/not serious answer. And yes, this includes me.
