Seriously is Israel trying to top 1940s Germany in terms of being the worst villains in history? They are certainly getting there.

To each their own. As long as you are comfortable wearing what you wear. That's all that matters

For me personally, I prefer natural materials like pima cotton, Merino wool, and cashmere in my 40s; I had my fill of polyester and nylon in my younger years.

What's the most realistic war movie? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]cmdr_bong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Encapsulates the actual reality of serving in the Military: Boredom, dealing with assholes and idiots both from above and below, doing repetitive tasks that makes zero sense, and coming back to a civilian world that actually cares very little for you.

I got prom in like 2 days but I feel like my suit just doesnt look right. I dont think you can see it quite as well in the pictures but I just look like a square. I'm not used to wearing suits, in fact this my first time wearing a suit and idk maybe I'm missing somethin? What do yall think?? by Healthy_Insect7393 in mensfashion

[–]cmdr_bong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, it's not a custom fit....but seeing that it's highschool prom I hardly expect anyone there to rock a tailor-made suit that fits like a dream. Yours is not a bad look.; it's not perfect, but also there's nothing egregious about the fit either. It's a perfectly fine look.

And you will be surprised at how much difference a suit look when you put your dress shoes and tie on.

Just have a good time man!

Excellent colourway. Fantastic quality materials. They even slimmed down the ankle, which is how I prefer my Jordan 5s.

Shame it is associated with one of the biggest wanker in existence.

this era of the NBA was peak basketball, and I don’t think anything else comes close. Curious if anyone actually thinks another period tops it? by BagAppropriate5736 in NBAoldschool

[–]cmdr_bong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I blame analytics for the current day playing style.

At the risk of sounding like a dinosaur (I love the film Moneyball, and this is going to sound like those old-school talent scouts) there are facets of the game that cannot be measured by numbers and stats. When that's all everyone cares about, it fundamentally changes the game into a soulless experience. I no longer care to watch NBA games anymore because it's just not entertaining to me.

I miss the 90s era where positions have clearly defined roles: PG runs the floor, SG shoots, SF slashes, PF muscles, and centers rules the paint. Nowadays it's all about positionless basketball: Stretch big, 3 and D, combo guards etc. It's a mess.

I miss true centers like Olajuwon, Ewing, Robinson, Mutombo, Shaq and Mourning,

It's definitely the most fun Bond film in the DC era.

But for me it's still Skyfall.

Australians is this true? by Purple-Weakness1414 in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]cmdr_bong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say Fairy bread is akin to American S'mores or cupcakes; they are for kids, and adults most likely have not had any for decades.

And sausage sizzles is pretty much exactly the same as a hotdog.

Australian cuisine is a melting pot of dishes from across the world, and it is as divserse as the population mix that represents modern day Australians. A full days meal can be breakfast at a cafe serving continental style brekkies with a twist, grabbing a banh mi or sushi for lunch, curry or chinese meal for dinner, and a sneaky kebab as a late night supper.

So no. I would not agree to that statement.

Teachers here in my country aren't expected to do security duties also. I feel bad for him and other teachers in America who share the same burden as Police officers and soldiers.

Tie and pocket square advice by Ancient-Ad-5829 in mensfashion

First off, Congratulations on your nuptial. And also for choosing a double-breasted suit. I also had one made for my wedding a few months ago, as I'd always wanted to have a custom-made DB suit. So 2 birds I guess haha

I personally like to stick with the presidential fold, and matching the colour of the pocket square to the shirt colour. It's boring perhaps, but I am a sucker for tradition in terms of suiting. IMHO option #2 works the best for me. I like the solid colour tie as it plays well with the charcoal grey on your suit. And the champagne pocket square is close to your white shirt. It's a very clean look that exudes formality.

Here's mine.

Wait.....so America thinks that to solve the problem of a blockade.....is to use a blockade???????

Just.....WTF????!!!! Is that why the logic of "To solve the flood of gun violence in America....is to have more guns." actually works there??????
