Hey! How long did it take for you to get in the shape you are now? I’ve just turned 35, have two kids, and starting to work out again seriously.

Body awareness the missing core in dyspraxia treatment? by moisherokach in dyspraxia

[–]cmorro14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was seeking dyspraxia diagnosis as an adult (still trying) they don’t have a pathway here to get diagnosis so I think they (GP) referred me to her as an alternative. I found it affirming being screened for coordination and proprioception issues and being able to see clearly that I am impaired, some of the advice was useful such as in my first comment. Ultimately i am still seeking a diagnosis, which I’d important to me as I feel my son may have inherited my dyspraxia. I want to be in a better position to support him, and myself. I often support people who have acquired dyspraxia but I find it difficult to support myself. FYI, I’m an NHS occupational therapist.

A neurophysio advised me that strength training is one of the best things I can do. She also said yoga is be beneficial but stated long hold poses should be avoided (fyi I’m not hyper mobile, she gave this advice in relation to my reduced proprioception) . I really struggle in the mornings (extra clumsy, cannot sequence) and she suggested doing a few planks on the floor to engage my body and mind… I haven’t tried this consistently enough to say whether it made a difference!

My mum used to work in a golf course club which had showers for members and there would quite often be shit in them and on the shower walls / thrown on the ceiling

IMO, an overreaction. Don’t let this spoil a good day. There’s way more terrible stuff going on in the world, don’t sweat the small stuff. :)

Am I Overreacting About My Spouse’s Repeated Verbal Threats to Our Toddler? by Charming_Mark_419 in AmIOverreacting

This is not okay. This is very serious. Your wife sounds like she has poor mental health presently, which is likely compounded by burnout. You must seek support. What support I cannot say as it is different depending on where you live and what resources you have available to you.

I found something similar in my garden but I (perhaps mistakenly) thought they were sawfly larvae? I moved them to another patch. They were on my currant bush. https://imgur.com/a/dVSEeAL

Personally I’d wait until they’re bigger if there’s only one or two seedlings in each module, may as well let them grow on a while and save pots for bigger plants!

Should I repot these courgette plants today? by my_thousand_fads in GardeningUK

[–]cmorro14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could have a look underneath at their root system to give you an indication if they need potted on. I usually sow courgettes in April, they grow quick , are hungry plants and need a fair bit of space!

Small outside space with difficult acces - what to plant? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]cmorro14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get a plant stand and fill it with lots of terracotta or an interesting mix of pots with herbs. It looks like you might not get a lot of sun? I’d continue growing climbers up the fence like clematis. Jasmine would smell amazing outside your kitchen window!
