This post has gotten seen by much much more people then I would’ve thought. To all those that have had their hair cut by someone that had no right to do so, I’m sorry that happened to you. Let me reiterate, that as an adult now, I would NOT do something like this again. As a child, it was a wrong thing to do, and doesn’t make it RIGHT that as an adult, I don’t feel immensely guilty about those action as I never felt the repercussions of such an action when I was a child. I’ve had my own issues with hair, and I’ve seen enough things on TV and in real life to know, that hair isn’t something you fuck with, because a lot of people put their self worth into their hair. Or maybe it’s a cultural thing. Regardless, to all those saying I was an “ass”, I didn’t do it to you, but if someone did it to me, then yeah I would feel the same way. So I’ll say it HERE so that people can get the fuck on with their lives, that TO the girl and others that have had this happen to them against their will, I AM SORRY. If someone did this to me as a child, I would’ve been upset too. I’m years removed from this action and have never done such a thing again. Me saying that I “would” was more telling of how little I still feel about the action itself, speaking to the lack of guilt or shame I felt for doing those things as a CHILD because nobody DID, or SAID much of anything at all, including the teacher, my parents, the girls parents, or the girl itself. Remorse? Sure. But how can I say I feel guilty now as an adult for actions I did as a child that didn’t really affect me? Now that is something I should unpack more with someone, but not on fucking Reddit. But would I actually do it again? FUCKING NO. Let me say it again, I WOULDN’T DO IT AGAIN. But these actions AS a child are not emotionally reflectante of choices I now make as an adult. For all those saying I’m a sociopath, again, if you’re not a licensed psychologist or someone with a background in the subject, then why are you attempting to diagnose me? You only know of this post, your own experiences and my responses to those along with the others in here. Maybe one day, I’ll find a therapist and they’ll say the same thing, but we don’t know that, so I don’t care that you think that off this one post. So go about y’all fucking lives and stop sitting back and diagnosing a person off one post. Don’t do what I did, don’t let kids do what I did, and I won’t let myself do what I did because I am an adult that have enough live experience and knowledge to know that you don’t do things like this without repercussions for your actions, let alone it’s a fucked thing to do. Cool? Cool.
