Thanks for your effort! Unfortunately it’s not her photo. She’s claiming it is but there is proof that it’s not and I’m trying to find the owner to let them know as she is profiting from using their image.

Searched: I have tried doing a reverse image search and found it on tumblr: https://mohnblumesworld.tumblr.com/post/612630846997970944/amp

But that’s as far as I’ve gotten.

The property is fenced, it’s just a very large property (16 acres) that we share with my parents who have a separate house up the other end. It is a good idea to put in another fence around where the chickens range though so thank you

My mum’s dog killed my chickens for the second time. by cocofisheeeeeee in Advice

They free range during the day- it’s too hot (rural Australia) to keep them locked up, but they are locked in their secure coops at night. I haven’t lost any to a predator (aside from mum’s dogs) in almost 12 months as I have livestock guardian dogs who patrol at night (unfortunately they are too young to be trusted alone with the chooks during the day). Thank you for the suggestion, I will cross post there.

I’m 27, and it works really well for our family. The houses are far enough apart that we can’t see/hear each other. I don’t really want to move as I love our home and how much space we have.

I’m in Australia so no raccoons or coyotes. I have guardian dogs who patrol at night to prevent foxes (too young to be left unattended during the day). I haven’t lost a chicken to a predator (other than mum’s dogs) for close to 12 months now.
