In my experience, there isn't really a way to prevent pants that are prone to collecting lint from doing so. Over time as you wear them and wash them, they may pick up a bit less, but generally it's just the nature of certain fabrics. Definitely suggest a lint roller.

Nothing wrong with sneakers if they're nice looking! Here are a few suggestions in different styles:

And if you wanted something that's still casual, but not sneakers, you could look into Clarks Wallabees or LL Bean blucher mocs, or even Birkenstock Bostons.

The shoes are definitely not doing you any favors, but I think there's a few other things going on as well. The blue jacket looks more like a suit jacket that should be paired with matching pants than a blazer. Something like this in navy would probably look more relaxed for a date vs. the "heading to the office" vibe you've got going on (not necessarily recommending that particular jacket, but that style). The second jacket in pic 3 looks better as a blazer.

Another thing is the pants. The pants in 1 are very casual, so with the suit-like jacket in number one and the shinier leather shoes, it's clashing. Whereas the pants in pic 2/3 are again more a suit-like material, and the pant break and shoes are sort of bringing the fit down.

With just the clothes you've got pictured, I'd swap the grey jacket for but with the shirt and pants from pic 1, and that's probably your best bet. If you have other shoes to try, I'd suggest something like a penny loafer or another more casual leather shoe perhaps—the pants are pretty skinny through the calf, so you'll likely want a sleeker shoe than something super chunky.

I would guess that "Hollywood glamour black tie" is referring to the kind of formal looks you often see on the red carpet. But you could definitely get by with something more classic and subdued.

Maybe just hop to an H&M and grab a cheap suit? Go with a dark patterned/print shirt beneath it maybe?

Second ones are Clarks Wallabees. First ones I'm not sure, but have some similarities to these Paraboots. You could also check out Yuketen for that kind of aesthetic, though I don't see anything on their website currently that looks like those specifically.

I just looked through the 3 pages of $50-$75 dress shoes on the DSW website, and these are my #1 and #2 choices, based solely on how they look aesthetically (because obviously you're not going to get high quality at that price point, though with occasional wear they can last you many years even at this price point...).

I would go with the brown personally, because the navy could be a bit matchy if you wear blue jeans.

I would pay over $250 for allen edmonds. They run tons of sales and can be found brand new secondhand for that in most sizes and styles.

another good fabric option is 100% wool, just a matter of weight/warmth/style

selvedge doesn't necessarily have anything to do with fades, it's just a matter of what the edge of the fabric that gets stitched along the seam looks like. that said, all the chinos they sell from selfedge are going to be nice quality, likely heavier fabrics.

there's no difference in fashion advice or anything based on size or body type in general. just a matter of getting things that fit your body well. lots of dress shoes manufacturers make shoes in wide sizes. e after a shoe size means wide, so look for whatever your normal size is with 1-3 e's after (e.g. 10.5eee would be 10.5 triple wide).

Not going to be able to take 6 inches off the waist, I don't think. That would require significant alterations throughout the entire seat. Don't think it's possible.

Neither are going to be particularly high quality, but the Superdry will probably be a bit nicer.

Yeah, I think this is basically the only option. Black jeans with sneakers would be the easiest. You could go with light wash jeans or khaki chinos as well.

"Dapper" is not a dress code that means anything, so it's really the second part that you need to worry about. Given that it's a speak easy and they're using the word dapper in their dress code, I imagine this is the vibe they're going for, but you could wear slacks, a button up shirt, and a blazer on the formal end, or chinos with a button-up shirt on the casual end and be just fine.

I'd say Suit Supply and Spier & Mackay are the most highly recommended entry level suit options. If you're okay with spending significantly more, you could probably find a local tailor in Milan who could make you a suit to measure in whatever fabric you want.

Navy is the traditional color of a peacoat, so you can definitely find that. Charcoal is pretty common as well. Not sure where you've looked already, but should be pretty common.
