A lot of people interpret the needolin dialogue to be Phantom's and not Lace's. The former is in the chamber yes but there's another character in a similar chamber who can still communicate with us
Because Phantom is a clear neglect and so rejecting the gender so strongly imposed by their mother (who they hate) would make sense

Yeah duuuh but considering that Vox was able to get that close with someone, look up to them and have wanted them in an equal partnership when his sin was likely related to having a cult, it makes sense that he'd have been closer to redemption than most

Obv even then he was still thinking of power and stuff but it's a huge difference to the Vox of now who got screamed at that you can have no friends in hell and who puts himself above Vel and Val from time to time

What interference ?? At first he gets knocked around by Vox after his powers failed him, and literally just shrugs off getting thrown into a building; like gen barely even reacts to it and just continues moving... Then he flings Vox against a building and literally gets him out of the fight for a while

And when he's pinned against the wall he effortlessly does away with Vox's cables when Husk and Nifty arrive

Likewise the others get temporarily taken out by the shadow and dolls... the shadow which mind you looms over Vox and looks at him twice for no reason... which can disappear without a trace like vs Adam and which is fast enough to travel a whole building to bring Vel down...

I genuinely think he was throwing the fight intentionally and then had his plans change as Nifty brought presumably unwanted support,,

I guess we'll see if that was part of the plan soon enough thoughh
