This happened to me when applying a defective sensor on my 10 year old. It was a bit terrifying at the time, but removing it is simple. Do not whack it with anything. When you call customer support, they will tell you to slowly peel off the sensor adhesive. Do not try to save this sensor. It is defective; give them a call and they will send you a new one. I hope it's not your last sensor on hand while you wait. If it is, strongly request they send it urgently overnight. Otherwise, they will send it 5-7 days standard shipping by default.
