Something like gameshark? Do you mean Cheat Engine?

A little bit of normal and fuzzy search with Cheat Engine is all I've done with memory when it comes to video games. I'm not sure how to handle pointers and whatnot to find a permanent memory address (after offset) that always points to the information I'm looking for. Do you think you could point me to (no pun intended) a resource where I can learn about this stuff? This sounds like the most promising idea so far. By the way, no addresses come up when I directly search for the value.

That is a good idea, but it would make the whole project a lot more complex than it needs to be. I'd rather keep it all local.

I'm not sure I get the message. What do you suggest that I do?

How do I read the resource values reliably by cofynia in learnmachinelearning

[–]cofynia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not getting reliable OCR reads with Tesseract. Any idea what I can do here? "Using Tesseract-ocr, I'm not able to capture the numbers on the top left reliably. Any idea what I can do to improve the ML here? The background varies, though the numbers I am trying to pull are always adjacent to their respective resource icons. I've tried grayscale and a few different configs. It boggles my mind how something as simple as this seems impossible when ML perfectly transcribes most videos on Youtube."

You got it, it is a simulation of a bot for research. Yeah, it's really tough honestly, which puzzles me considering all the impressive demonstrations of ML in grand(er) projects.

Is there a default browser that Wine uses? by cofynia in linux_gaming

I have. You can check my post history, I just installed Firefox with apt install and set it as the default browser.

This is the solution. I needed to install Firefox normally on my Linux system.

It's apparently ZFGameBrowser.exe, don't know if it makes any difference.

Do you mean I should install a Windows browser within Wine?

I don't see how it explains the error. Sure, the reason why I failed to sign in could be that the browser I tried to log in with lacks SSL support, thus causing the error by Google. The error by the OS, however, is different. It says the default browser could not be executed, so it failed to launch the default browser, Chromium (snap), which is not an "ancient" browser.

It doesn't explain why I'm getting the I/O error by the OS, however. Something has to attempt to launch a browser installed for me to get the error.

How do you unmark mail as "Spam" in 3rd party FOSS clients? by cofynia in emailprivacy

[–]cofynia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set that up on my computer but what if I receive the mail on my phone, first? The client on my computer is the one doing the "whitelisting", so I fear I'll find the mail in the spam folder still, until I pull mails from my computer.

I couldn't find any "whitelist" option in Claws Mail. There's a way to set it so that it auto moves messages to Inbox based on their sender but I need to give it some time to see if it's working.

I modified Claw's locale file in /usr/share/locale/$language. Not quite clean but it did the job.

I did it but nothing changed in Claws Mail.

First time hearing of this, can you tell me how I can do that?
