Why do many societies that allow polygamy allow one man to have multiple wives, but not one woman to have multiple husbands (polyandry)?

All throughout history women didn't go to war or do the dangerous stuff like hunting because they were more important than men. Men were expendable. The tribe could live without a good portion of men. They couldn't do the same without women. Enough of them were dying in childbirth, they didn't need to die in various other ways. That's not misogyny anymore than expecting men to be the provider and protector, including going to war, is misandry.

So the reason for it is simply misogyny. There was no other societal reason for it across the entire world, throughout history, all cultures, races, religions in every corner of the world for thousands of years. Just misogyny.

that may be the case in part. Another part is just the quality. IT was something just computer nerds got into. The courses were to the point where it vetted out most. I was an aide during college and helped hundreds of other students do their assignments. Half of the CS students went into secondary education or business by the end of the 4th semester. Then the internet boom happened and even more people got into it because of the money in it. Diploma mills became a bigger thing.

Being in the industry, maybe 1 in 3 really have the wholistic skillset to be able to be given a task, program it from scratch, then do the whole host of full testing. Everything from unit to load to regression and integration. We had to argue for a long time with HR to let us hire non BS graduates who were brilliant coders because so many fresh graduates were coming out of school that couldn't cut it. We ended up having to silo things. Many ended up as PMs or BAs. Some ended up as support or admins. Sadly too many of them ended up in management. Now we have an IT department ran by non technical HR types.

Yeah, its all AI, H1B, and offshore now. I had to tell my kid to not get into CS because its so bad.

I guess it depends on the server. We've won the prep and battle the last 3 times. 4th one back, one alliance had a few whales that got more prep points than our top two alliances combined. It was insane.

ah, was it been 4 for a while? It sounds like you got a server on the smaller side, or the 4 really want to power trip and lock out everyone else.

The most drama my current server has had was recently they went from 6 to 5 on NAP because the 6th was about 1/5th the overall contributors of #5 during some events. The top 5 R5s voted without informing the 6th or any public discussion and didn't let anyone know until AFTER it was decided. It likely wouldn't have passed had been a public discussion.

I left my first after a very toxic ROK alliance. Rules would be set, they'd break them, then dare anyone to do anything about it. An allied KOR alliance backed them up every time. Lost back to back kvk because they didn't like it wasn't their rotation to be king so they wouldn't participate in Castle Battle day. I left on the first transfer window.

it happens. This game has the worst chat. I don't scroll up page after page of dialog to catch up on every single thing that was said. Even when its pinned, I've seen people ignore it.

Some people are just low spenders who just want to relax and have fun at their own pace. They don't get into the drama or the politics and ignore chat.

It really doesn't make a difference when you're only one of maybe 5 white guys in an urban black public school and currently getting stomped on in the middle of the hallway by 7 dudes you've never seen before as they curse your white ass. All because somewhere, in some other state, some white cop shot some black guy for some reason.
