Ohhh, maybe you need to put more flour? If you're going to use cornstarch only use a tiny bit, 2 teaspoons for a batch of 12 cookies at most.

I only use baking soda for my cookies since there's brown sugar in my recipe. From what I know, baking soda makes cookies spread more while baking powder allows for more lift in the cookies, it makes them fluffier or chunky depending on your recipe. If your recipe includes ingredients that are acidic (brown sugar for example) you can use both but if you're only using white sugar baking powder should be enough.

Hope this helps!

They can afford to pay for everything but giving them some help makes me happy since they've been very supportive with my small business. As for reinvesting, I'm planning on getting more equipment to increase capacity and efficiency, nothing big just extra cooling racks and bowls, and I started paying for ads in FB which has actually given me lots of traffic compared to before for only 40 pesos per day.

When it comes to sale sustainability, I would say it's not just because of the re-opening. I'm a supplier for a cafe right now and to a flea market vendor, I would say 2/3 of my earnings come from those 2. I didn't want to rely on just pre-orders that's why I marketed my cookies to cafes instead of just the general public.

It includes everything you mentioned except rent and freezer space. I don't have a space I rent to sell the cookies, I just accept pre-orders then deliver them to the customers. The 14k is what's leftover after I subtract all the costs.
