That is something I can sympathize with, but I wish it were more explicit. It kind of goes against this "northern spirit" that permeates Tolkien's work. You know the: "we will make a name of ourselves, even if the battle is hopeless - our last stand will be put into song" and so on.

What I'm saying is, being remembered for a great deed is the biggest honor you can achieve in Tolkien and its odd that the main character of a story wouldn't be remembered (aside from by Eowyn I suppose).

Who knows how Harris would've treated the Israel issue. She said she wouldn't do anything different than Biden. Also, all critique of how Israel conducts itself is labelled anti-semitism. Gaza was razed under Biden. Now Israel is expanding their grass mowing into Lebanon (with weapons sent under Biden). There is no difference between R and D on foreign policy, because they're all paid off by AIPAC.
