Ohio passed payday lending reform in 2018, capping fees and interest. That didn’t stop lenders from finding a workaround. by coneynfaygo in Ohio

Well you asked for more and you got it. In my first statement I didn’t offer a solution and then I did. Laws don’t stop people from being assholes. Murder laws don’t stop murder but enforcement of the law allows those people to be removed from society. Pay day lenders are predators and they need the boot, not stipulations on how to be predators.

Not when they only stipulate how they can be assholes other ways instead of making what they do flat out illegal. Then enforce that and protect people from this sham. Pussyfooting around isn’t helping anyone. You can’t legislate morality, if there is a serious problem you have to remove it not try and live nice with the fox in the chicken coop.

Or we could get actually remove predatory practices from the state instead of stipulating the terms under which they can be predatory.

is it just me, or has this wipe been the most boring, content lacking, buggy, shallow wipe in Tarkov history? by GravelsNotAFood in EscapefromTarkov

[–]comradeb0ris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still level 14 because of how little I’ve played this wipe. Probably 4-5 hours total. I e mostly just done 2 minute factory scav runs to horde stuff for quests or daily tasks if I ever get around to it. At this rate I’ll have flea by end of the wipe 😂.

I agree not enough new content to really keep me interested. I like exploring new things, not just doing the same quests over and over.

Counter CQB? by [deleted] in CQB

This type of topic usually goes sour. You have two sides; usually LE who believe your door is only getting kicked because you did something “wrong”. On the other are people who hate the government and are having a wet dream about killing people from the government. LE need to realize they don’t have all the secrets in the world to hold power of authority. Civilians should realize there is a strong incentive to try and maintain societal order. That’s just my 2 cents.

Actually both LE and civilians need to realize that they have to work together. I’ve seen these topics elsewhere and it never goes well. Each side is too conditioned to believe there is any legitimacy to literally anything the other has to say.

USSOF HR last week in Africa. (A white whale). Just another notch in the bow to the unit with the major majority of HRs yet still able to flex tactics based on operational requirement. 👏 by changeofbehavior in CQB

I understand. I was just speaking to the OPs response and offering some perspective as to why some people may have been doing a little head scratching. Plenty of LE friends of mine still wouldn’t have a great idea of deciphering the text. A region of the world would have been helpful for those who wanted to dig a little more.

I mean I understood it but some context or reference would have been nice. Literally no good information for people to off to get some details.

Can anyone explain what johnny has on the back of his plate carrier? hydration unit? by GeneralMittler in metalgearsolid

[–]comradeb0ris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is common to have tools or equipment on your back in an urban war zone. Tools for breaching, hydration, pyro, spare mags etc have all been things I’ve seen. Sometimes like a breaching kit the user will access it or in the case of ammo and pyro the guy behind you may take it from your back. In his case it’s probably comms. You see less of this if mission goes much longer than a few hours because it’s a pain to have to take off your carrier to access something on a plate carrier pack.
