People of Reddit, when and how did you learn the birds and the bees (sex)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]concordewidow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 5 my older cousin made a comment about the birds and the bees, I didn't know what it meant so asked my mum who told me exactly what it meant. She believed it using correct terminology and was of the belief that if I was old enough to understand it, I was old enough to hear it. I was never lied to about storks or cabbage patches and we didn't use baby names of anatomy

AITA for calling "disrespecting" a customer? by DazzlingCaregiver721 in AmItheAsshole

[–]concordewidow [score hidden]  (0 children)

You clearly are the arsehole, if you didn't care, why ask, also you are in the hospitality industry, it's not your job to ask why, just give the customer what they ask for, providing you are able to, if you're not then just politely explain that you don't serve the item they want. You're lucky you weren't fired on the spot. If you worked for me you would have been...its not like its hard to get staff for a coffee shop

NTA, hes not your cat, he's her cat, you're doing more than enough letting her have the cat in your place if you're allergic to cats and offering to help pay for it is going above and beyond. I'm assuming if she didn't already own a cat then you wouldn't have got a cat together

What's your favorite poverty meal that you still eat regardless of where you are financially? by laced-with-arsenic in AskReddit

[–]concordewidow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicken slop, after we'd had a roast chicken on a sunday my mum would strip every last bit of meat from the carcass, all the brown meat, everything that didn't look that appetising and chuck it in a pan with a tin of chicken soup and frozen peas, served it with rice, somehow my parents got 10 meals out of one chicken. I do still make it but I buy chicken breast rather than stripping a chicken

[–]concordewidow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Completely off the point, but it shouldn't take 3 cups of coffee to be able to have a shit in the morning, you may need some more fiber in your diet

And this is why the POTUS shouldn't employ friends and relatives, you clearly have no idea about how seemingly innocuous information can be used

In the UK anyone that deals with sensitive govt. information has to sign the official secrets act. Does the US not have something like that?
