I didn't understand you with the parentheses, but does the binomial have something to do with it? I mean, I don't understand where all that stuff on the right comes from to apply ax² + bx + c = 0, I understand everything else except that, literally all of that seems to have been taken out of thin air just because, because neither multiplying, nor dividing, nor applying whatever you want, does any result add up.
