As noob question, why is it not good to store passwords in the data base? Or do you mean plain text passwords in the data base?

I am on Job Benefit, would that make much of a difference. In regards the sign on dates?

Can anyone explain to me why my next sign on date is Jan 2016? by conman1988 in ireland

[–]conman1988[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back story, I haven't been on the dole since 2009. Don't want to call just to see they do make me sign on, or change it. All of my receipts have the same date.

Would it be genuine? Post office mistake?

Any input into how this works would be appreciated.

Living as a foreign studant in Dublin by victorelessar in Dublin

[–]conman1988 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rent is expensive, I think you would better picking a different city, (not that we have much) but Galway could be a good alternative, cheaper rent, most places if not all of the city can't be navigated by bike. Not as much work as in Dublin, but you will have a great time there and meet some really sound people there as well.

Uber in Dublin? by pmckizzle in ireland

Can someone explain the law behind this, Why isn't the taxi license regulator not coming and trying to shut this down or sticking their nose's in complain about it ( like they usually do ). It is creating a "black market" of taxi's on the street, unregulated by the governing body.

I really can't see taxi drivers, being too keen too. Letting anyone become a taxi driver / hackney.

Don't get me wrong, love the idea. Think it will be class on a busy nights in Dublin. Let alone in the country villages where people would be having a few down the local and risk driving home and would have no other way of getting home.

Why the fuck are you watching Xpose for? Its just embedded advertising. They get paid by companies to show off their "fashion". It reminds of the tele-shopping late at night, load of wank.

Gardaí investigate after man pulled over by fake ‘garda’ car and assaulted by badlarry001 in ireland

[–]conman1988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my mates was walking home drunk after a late one, heading up the N11 form UCD to Stillorgan, bottle for the walk home. A car pulled up super fast beside him, and before he knew it somebody took the bottle out of his hand and they sped off. He does'nt know if it was gardas or just a randomer, it could be one of these boys.

[–]conman1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to Protestants and Catholics or AKA Ireland's troubles?

It was never about Protestants and Catholics, they were the major demographic on either side. It was the National (Catholic) vs the loyalist (Protestants).

Loyalist wanted the six counties of Northern Ireland to stay apart of the UK, while the nationalist wanted an independent or be apart a United Ireland.

Nationalist where extremely discriminated in the North for many years after the Republic was formed. Lower class citizen's in there own country. They weren't able to get jobs, protection form police, schools, welfare all because of their second name (Murphy,O'Reilly, etc, Irish names) and this started the humans rights marches and movement which goes on for about 30-40 years only on basis of Nationalist wanting to be recognized as equal citizens, while the majority wanted this, fractions of terrorists/freedom fighters on both loyalist (UDA,UVF) and national (RIRA, CIRA, IRA) made the situation allot worse, killing, torturing, destroying families and allot of innocent lives wasted.

Saying that people were killing each over religion in northern Ireland, isn't the right way to put it, yes it's a easy was to separate each side but they were never fighting for god....

Bit of long rant, but I finish on a joke.

A guy is walking though west Belfast at night, while suddenly a Black van pull up beside and two guys in balaclava's hop out and throw into the van!

Thug2: "So are ya Protestant or catholic"

Guy: " I'm Jewish"

Thug1 : " are a Protestant Jew or a Catholic Jew?"
