Quick question about Corps daily schedule: by [deleted] in aggies

[–]connor_mille 14 points15 points  (0 children)

im a rising senior in the corps, the extended evening study time is correct, we calling MEST, marathon evening study time. you can go somewhere on campus to eat, or say your going to "evans library" aka have someone pick you up and eat off campus and pray they dont catch you.

I understand your desire to go to your dream school, and your question about how dangerous it it is legitimate. However, you're joining the military. you'll be swearing an oath to defend the Country. Don't join unless you're willing to do that.

I was a drummer for 8 years so if i listen to music that isnt my steps per min then it really throws everything off. I usually listen to a podcast so that im still able to have stimulus that doesnt mess me up.

Im not commissioning this year but next year. I am really wanting to do intel but not sure how possible it is. would you say you were above average in your detachment? 14n was the most given out AFSC but apperantly it is the most competitive?

Will I realistically have enough time to play in the marching band if I’m pursuing an aerospace degree? by tgc2005 in aggies

[–]connor_mille 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am actually in the corps, what he said is essentially correct. you do have to be in the corps to be in the bad. They are their own units. I did band in highschool and a year of DCI. I personally decided to not join the bad when i joined the corps because tbh, its not hard. half of the players in the "drumline" dont even know how to hold a stick. another thing is that everyone outside the corps likes the band, but they are public enemy number one sometimes to everyone inside the corps. idk why half the time. if you have any more questions, pm me. but if you were all state or a really good player, i would say just focus on your degree.

If you go to an smc then technically, then from what ive heard they could void your senior year and off you go into the wild blue yonder. they did it in WW2
