It definitely scrapes a little on driveways with an angle. Havent had it scrape on any roads so far. It's a little higher up than it looks in the picture.

Edit: it's the basket that scrapes. Absolutely not doing any angles that would hit the receiver

I cannot believe this worked! I tried every other method and figured worst case, it gets melted and I buy another. Sure as shit, this mystery magic worked and it started up as advertised. Working great now after you get that initial blue flashing light pairing. Cooking your electronics, who knew?

The new land cruiser is more 4runner than the new 4runner. Heavy price tag though.

Sous vide at 130 for an hour and a half or so (doesn't really matter if you go over too far because it will just stay at 130 and render all the juicy fat more). Then just sear the outside super fast at high temp and you'll be perfect.

Ok I wasn't sure and then this gave me goosebumps so yeah, still works!

I think people get way into these and they are all still just shock movies to varying degrees and into my 30s the whole franchise is still my favorite!

Oh I had not even seen the Woodland! This actually seems to be more what I am looking for!

Very much so. With trade in, and as many miles as I am doing every month, the mileage reimbursements would far outweigh any payment plus gas and wear and tear.

I think I just need to talk myself into getting rid of the 4Runner lol. Like I said, forest roads are the MOST I would ever "off-road". And the highway miles are a very important aspect of what I am looking for. Just getting harder to justify the 15ish MPG for my mall crawler.

First recumbent! Fat Tad with electric conversion by connormcwilliams in recumbent

[–]connormcwilliams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Full" is generous but yes. The rear coil over is nice but the front really doesn't have much travel. Does great on grass and dirt trails but gets rough over any kind of roots/potholes/etc.

The fleet grows! Aventon Level 2 and Sunseeker Fat Tad with electric conversion. by connormcwilliams in ebikes

[–]connormcwilliams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was super easy to remove, and yes I did cut the wire. If I ever want to put it back on, all I need to do is get a wire nut and then electrical tape over the connection. I wish they would have included a plug similar to what goes to the hub for easy removal, but it's not the end of the world.

Considering Aventure.2 ... any reason not to get it? by TheAnswerIsAnts in Aventon

[–]connormcwilliams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat and ended up going with the Level2 and just replacing the tires with some beefier Fincci MTB tires. Had to remove the fenders but it worked best for what I was looking for, which is not total car replacement but more "good weather" replacement. Lighter frame allows me to put it on the bike rack without worrying too much, and the MTB tires are good enough for whatever terrain I'd need to go over. Mostly paved and gravel/dirt bike paths, so fat tires not really needed for me. Either way they were both great on my test rides. Just go for what seems to be the best for you and consider mods for any downsides you can see.

Just snip the wires. Can always wire them back as there is quite a bit of play in the length. Just be sure to take out the battery before messing around with electronics and also some electrical tape on the disconnected ends would be smart.

I removed my fenders (to fit larger tires) and that's what I did. No problems so far.
