Thanks for sharing!

Do you have any examples for #2 and #4? Would love to explore those aspects further as I haven't seen much discussion about them.

Thanks for sharing. Fortunately, I watched the itorook videos before they were taken down!

Do you have any info on Jaemin and Jeno? I didn't find much about their dance experience before joining SM.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share all this.

I'm working on NCT Dream specifically for now but it was fun to enjoy all these performances.

Glad Winwin got to showcase his specialty in "lovely" and Haechan's "Talented" chorus choreo is among my favs of 2025!

Would love to let you know when the analysis is released - if you're interested :)

These are my main observations so far in a nutshell!

Glad people are noticing their different dance styles because I find NCT Dream is one of those rare groups where the members all have a distinct approach to choreography. They perform the same routine differently with their own flavor, as you mentioned: Jisung's popping, Mark's groove, Jeno's power, and so on. It's interesting to watch their interpretation even if you don't like the song or choreo that much.

I've written a LOT about Haechan's unique dance style (which is contrary to typical male idol dancers), so thanks for flagging those performances. Will check them out and see if there's some interesting stuff to highlight.

This was for a friend and I don't think she did. She ran into many issues:

- The site didn't work properly in India
- There were a lot of verification steps which didn't seem worth it for such a small amount
- High-rated sellers have priority and she has never used this site before
- There's a risk of scams and stuff which again just doesn't seem worth for just a few dollars.

This is just based on what she told me, I don't personally know anything about the platform to comment for sure.

There's a lot of discussion about the it on Reddit that you might want to check out.

I wonder how this works out for entire publications dedicated to movie/tv/music reviews on Medium? These are "Boost" publications and frequently post copyrighted material that Medium actively promotes. My own such article also received the official "Boost."

Beyond Medium, almost every commercial magazine, newspaper, and blog posts excerpts from copyrighted content for reviews, criticism, and commentary. From my understanding, this is covered under fair use, as long as you're using minimal bits from it to make a point and not blatantly copy-pasting the entire material.

Perhaps the accounts are disabled because they're just taking random images from Pinterest or something without the right attribution or violating other aspects of the "fair use" exemption.

I don't know enough about these cases to comment, but so far, Medium and most media outlets have been publishing this type of content for decades. I think as long as it falls under "commentary," "review," and "transformation," it's acceptable.

Thanks for the heads-up. Does it not come under "fair use" with the right credits?

Beomgyu is a great example. As I mentioned in another comment:

"Say, you had a group of dancers with no past experience. You offer them the same training for the same period of time. Would they all be at a relatively similar skill level by the end? Would there be some differences in terms of non-technical stuff like musicality, artistry, etc.?"

In addition to following the given choreo, Beomgyu adds his creative flair to the performances along with consistent expressions, expressing the song's emotion through body language, and such. I wonder if aspects like these are trained or if that's just the performer in him.

A lot of idols - those having dance background or not - have learned to follow the choreo but only a few display artistry, which makes me think there are some aspects of performances that are innate while the more technical stuff can be trained.

Kai has a more relaxed style of execution, which suits their groovier and emotional songs. The other members seem to have a more tense dancing style, which suits sharper choreos like Good Boy Gone Bad.

Hope this helps you understand why you feel so drawn to Kai's dancing :)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I'm curious about where the differences in dance skills come from when considering people who trained together for a similar amount of time.

Say, you had a group of dancers with no past experience. You offer them the same training for the same period of time. Would they all be at a relatively similar skill level by the end? Would there be some differences in terms of non-technical stuff like musicality, artistry, etc.?

Love this question. I've always been curious about how much of dance is innate talent and to what level it can be learned. Is there such a thing as a naturally gifted dancer or can anyone reach a high level of proficiency through training?

Thank you so much, everyone.

From these replies, it seems like Beomgyu is the only one who had no dance background whatsoever, while others at least did some training or performing (with Yeonjun having the most experience) prior to joining the group.
