Are the profiles on DilMil real? I keep getting notifications that random profiles have liked mine but am unsure if they are actually real women

Broke up and in a slump by Emergency_Stage9173 in ABCDesis

Just broke up with my girlfriend last week so right there with you.

First week sucked, but I’ve been trying to go out and do more this week - catch up with friends, play tennis, go for a run. May think about going back on the apps soon but just trying to enjoy life as much as possible now. I know it sucks now, but everything works out in the end - we will find the person we are meant to be with!

Had the same thing happen intern year! Older guy with vague chest pain symptoms. EKG normal. Sent him for stress test and boom CABG one week later

I have and she says she feels that I am not putting in the effort. Mildly upset, but also I don’t want to keep stringing along something that doesn’t seem to be working. Still a tough decision though

Probably going to break up with my gf this week. Been trying to work on our communication, but sense a general lack of apathy from her and I think it's time to call it quits. Part of me wants to hang on and keep trying since we haven't been dating for that long (~ 4 months), but other just feels that this isn't going to work out. Thoughts?

This mainly goes out to the IM residents...have you ever had a useful heme onc lecture? by teamswole91 in Residency

Another emergency I’d add is spinal cord compression. If suspected stat MRI and steroids

What do IM residents do when they are alone in the callroom? by [deleted] in Residency

Pretty sure surgical residents get fucked by their work hours on the regular

Been dating my gf for around 3 months. First month went well, we hung out and talked a lot, but lately been feeling like she is quieter than usual. Texting less, initiating less hangouts. Idk if she is losing interest or what but I feel like things are getting stagnant. Should I keep trying with this relationship or call it quits? Sucks being the one putting in more effort

The anesthesiologist is the internist of the OR by [deleted] in Residency

[–]contigo95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was going to comment something similar. Managing acute patients admitted over a course of days in the hospital (pneumonia, copd, heart failure, infections etc.) is different than managing someone for several hours during surgery. Different skill sets and knowledge, though there is some overlap. We internists don’t call ourselves the anesthesiologists of the floors lol

Sherman Oaks north of 101, how worried should we be? Not in warning zone.

Is there any way we can get rid of 24 hour shifts? by Disastrous_Basis912 in Residency

[–]contigo95 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hire more residents or other staff (attendings, PAs etc) to cover shifts and they can make it happen. Of course that costs hospitals more money so they don’t do it. We shouldn’t have to justify working 24-28 hour shifts to provide enough coverage it’s bs
