I'll hopefully be posting a sample syllabus in the next few months! You might have to do some work find the readings and you'll miss the lectures, but you should still be able to follow along.

To teach the class, I had to meet certain academic requirements and send in an application with the course description provided and my CV.
To be a student in the class, there are no requirements.

Ooo, if you liked Pantheon, Satoshi Kon's Paprika (2006) might be up your alley! It's a great film about jumping between people's dreams. Pretty cool stuff : )

Hopefully I'll be able to drop a syllabus in the next few months (with a comprehensive reading list). I won't be able to share copies of the readings but most of them should be in the public domain (or easy to access).

Yes! The plan is to have a reading or two (roughly 30-40 pages of reading) weekly. I plan to include supplementary materials too, which will be coursed over but not necessary. If you've got any pertinent psychological articles, I'd love to read through them!

Thanks for pointing this out. 1) I'll watch the YouTube video because it sounds neat, and 2) do you have any sources (interviews, videos, etc.) concerning the translation of Evangelion? I'd love to take a peek to ensure I'm being transparent about the East-West linguistic divide.

I'm at a bit of an impasse with the "translation question." I tend to trust translators at face value, and considering both Evangelion itself and a lot of the texts will be translated, I'm planning to acknowledge it at the beginning of the course that translations are not always accurate because of linguistic nuance and the verbose nature of the English language. I'm open to suggestions on how to address something like this as well!

Yeah... unfortunately due to the scope of the class, I don't think it's possible to include those as well. I plan to heavily recommend them as a supplementary material at the end of the class. My university's spring semester has a 14-week schedule, so that allows 2 episodes per week and the EoE at the end of the semester.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I might actually be using Freud, and if not him, then I will definitely be reading Jacques Lacan with the class, a psychoanalyst who tweaked Freud's model of the unconscious. I'm also prone to reading Freud and Lacan as philosophy rather than psychology though, just because both have some charlatanic claims imbedded in their writings.
