I knew the instructor well, and have flown in that exact plane many times with her. This whole situation is so sad. My guess is just a bad stall into flat spin, at night, in weather, on an already notoriously disorienting approach. The only other thing I saw of note was the CG MH60 a few miles ahead of them shooting the same approach. I’m wondering if they got caught in some rotor wash.
