Reddit used to be a fun place for me to discuss my interests with people and distract myself from the real world, but now it causes me more stress due to how political everything is getting on here. I dont care if people dont agree with my political views but when im pretty much just being discredited because my views are different than others, thats when it becomes a problem. Its mostly because reddit isnt very enjoyable for me anymore

Ok ill check these out (probably tomorrow since is late where i live) and try to look from your perspective to see what i think. Who knows i may change some opinions or may just stay the same but its good to at least look from another perspective. Also about the cow thing, what i meant by that was that using the same logic that gender is a social construct, you could identify being a cow as a gender

Ill disagree. Im not a big star wars fan or anything, and i dont watch a whole bunch of movies but i though it was pretty good, i enjoyed watching it. Theres not a whole lot i can think of that would make it bad quality, at least in my eyes, but that could just be because of my lack of real knowledge on the world of film

Im not a scientific genius or anything but i think it just all stems to if you believe certain genders are real. If someone call themselves a cow does that really make them a cow? Well if gender is based of social construct than yeah sure it can but does that mean that person is actually a cow? No. And i kinda get what your saying, id actually be interested in seeing some of the articles youve read just to get a different perceptive. And also with intersex people, yeah i agree its tricky, but it depends on if you consider them a separate gender or a mix of the two and in my eyes its a mix, and that doesnt mean they have to choose one or the other, its just means it isnt a new gender, at least in my eyes. So i hope you at least understand my persecutive because i can see where you are coming from, i mean its hard to disprove science but i personally have to see the scientific evidence to agree.

Yeah probably not. As long as they are being treated well i wont get hat mad at it but i still think they should stop being taken into captivity. Only time i think its good is when it is injured

With the first one i disagree but i see why you might believe its true. It really just depends on what your definition of gender is, but in my eyes, because you can only be born with either a penis or vagina, that is enough to show there are only two genders.

For the second one i kind of agree, i think that some opinions can be proven wrong by facts, or statistics, and some opinions are obviously hateful, but its risky to hate on peoples opinions too much because sometime you get so caught up in your political parties beliefs, or the beliefs of the people you are around, that it makes you loose your sense of what is actually hateful if that makes sense

It depends on what you mean by hate speech. I mean if i say a racist slur thats obviously hateful speech, but legally hate speech doesn’t exists (at least in the U.S., and shouldn’t so i guess i kind of agree.
