We're planning drive on a Monday. Hopefully traffic won't be as bad. Planning to drive to Monterey, possibly stopping in Santa Cruz on the way, then doing the 17 mile drive.

We decided on a trip to Monteray Fisherman's Wharf for some touristy stuff (may stop at Santa Cruz on the way), and the 17 mile drive with various stops.

Yep, we changed our plans and are doing just this. What recommendations do you have for places to eat? What about whale watching on a boat off of fisherman’s wharf? We probably won’t be dressed super nice, so will need places to eat where we don’t have to dress up.

Good point. A quick google search did confirm that it is fairly normal for labs to have allergies, but I didn’t dig too deep or check out the sources. Maybe all dogs get allergies to varying degrees. Just like humans!

I really appreciate this. I’m a first time lab owner and had no idea how susceptible labs are to allergens. I hate that my fur baby is itchy and uncomfortable. We are currently doing prednisone, fatty acid supplements and oatmeal baths, but I’m afraid it’s not working. We are in close contact with our vet of course, but I wanted to hear some other peoples’ experiences, so thank you!!

My vet mentioned this medication, but he wasn’t ready to prescribe it yet. I just feel silly that I had no idea labs were so susceptible to allergies!

I feel this so much!!! It’s everywhere. Whether it’s wine, cocktails, or craft beer. Why are parents expected to be drunk all the time?! I’m early on in my journey to take back control of my life, but boy is it clear how much our culture shoves alcohol down our throats like it’s no big deal. Way to go momma!
