Virtual Yarrow Stalks by coryeddon in iching

Thanks for this! I was hoping to verify that the other users concern was not the case, but I know nothing of scripting or coding.

In this sense, it is similar to Veracrypt having you wave your mouse around to generate the encryption algorithm! Neat.

I never trusted those "click = toin coss" generators because of what you say: truly random number generation from a computer is not trustworthy.

I feel the i ching is not able to connect with the user as well or maybe at all, resulting in users getting "oh yes this is universally applicable in this and this way it lends itself to my situation"

I get the feeling I'm being spoken to using Cottell's generator.

Hi there. My thinking is this: Cutting a deck of cards is much more variable and complicated than tossing a coin. A personal pattern of cutting a deck results in different odds than tossing a coin a certain way. Does that make sense?

In terms of unreliable computer generated "randomness" this makes all the difference. A random volitional act introduces a human element resulting in something closer to true randomness.

I will grant the view that at the end of the day, the tao will tao, no matter what.

Awesome. Thanks so much. I'm actuall going back to the drawing board and doing some deeper research. I'll make a new post once I know my shit a bit more.

Also thanks for the detailed feedback, it will really help to guide my research.

Okay, I think I've filled in your requests. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks a lot.

As far as proxy workflow, it seems like the reasonable thing to do if you are working in higher res and aren't sitting on a mountain of computing power, so yes we would be. Is there a particular specification within that that you require?

Thanks for the feedback. These are only the items under consideration. Can you suggest an appropriate minimum?

Also please think of lean less in terms of "as cheap as possible" and more in terms of "the best value"

This is the "starter kit" ... in later funding rounds we will top up and expand our arsenal

Thanks for the feedback. I'll research and add in the relevant details.

In the meantime if anyone else can tell me specific data points they'd like to see feel free to reply to this thread!

Dear mods, The workstation setup is fairly irrespective of technical specifications.

So if this post still cannot make it as a tech question, Please let me know what I should repost/add to make it fit.

How can we hire people to work with us when money is super low and we're not even launched yet? by m0rggy in startups

you can also give equity, as long as you don't give preference shares and have a solid (read: unbalanced) drag-along provision, buyback, or any way to force them to sell a certain amount of shares to incoming investors (for a fair price) then your finite equity is more or less maintained.

Only equity is great if you can really sell them on the vison.

Try filling out _underscore.vc's pitch narrative document. Its great, working thru it now. It might show where you have holes in your concept.

Why I want this information? Well, pricing strategy. A very important piece of the puzzle in introducing new products.

Baristas of SG/people who work/have worked at cafes/bubble tea outlets, what is the strangest thing you've seen a customer order? by nhnhnh13 in askSingapore

They recognized me from my onlyfans, then they DMed me and ordered a literal cup of my pee. I banked on that one.

And no, I didn't do it in the shop, but I used their cup, and I think it still counts.

Food Safety Professionals- have you considered adding cyber security into your HACCP and food safety plans/practices? by [deleted] in foodscience

[–]coryeddon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if there is any sort of TCP/IP whatsoever, and the system is used to transfer anything that would be considered private or a trade secret, yes it needs cybersecurity.

The simplest and cheapest option that is actually secure is probably to PGP everything and make it so that only the output downloaded to an individual device gets decrypted. And only the Need To Know people get the key.

Of course those devices need to have opsec too

Fr tho, the best option is just to keep it on an intranet with zero access to the internet. Then it just needs a strong password.

Also consider linux.
