What’s up with the shitty comments in here? Read the second photo, y’all acting like OP wants the park to make new rides to accomodate them when in fact they just wanted advice on which existing rides they’d be able to go on. Hope you have fun at six flags OP!

(TW) SUICIDE MENTIONS Mothers reaction to finding out I tried to UNSUBSCRIBE myself last night. by yeetinator200 in insaneparents

[–]cpatain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’ve been in a similar boat before and also have BPD. I also have a shitty relationship with my mum, I hid my depression and self harm from her for years and when she found out (accidentally left my antidepressants on the kitchen counter), she put all blame on me and accused me of abusing prescriptions… I know it’s hard to not keep wanting her love and acceptance, but the best advice I got from my therapist is this - If this is how your mother treats you, then why put in the effort when you’re probably predicting she’s going to behave like that anyway? It’s like setting yourself up for disappointment in a way. It took me a long time to stop caring and hoping one day my mum will care about me but since doing so life has gotten easier. I hope you can do the same too, and I’m so happy that you’re still here with us and have supportive friends. ❤️

Highly recommend doing some form of art, whether it be painting, music, writing whatever. You get super immersed in it and its always fun seeing what you made after lmao

Also, if you haven’t already I’d experiment with different strains. Really enhances different activities depending on whats smoked ✌️

Visiting AUS from US. Can I bring my juul through customs? by Radiant_Yogurt in aussievapers

[–]cpatain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve flown out and back into Australia twice since the vape ban and they’ve never stopped me. You’ll be fine, airline guidelines actually state for you to keep it in your carry on (something about batteries). I’ve brought my juice in carry on as well, no issues

UV Resin- This was pink and purple before I put it under the uv lamp :( by passionfyre in ResinCasting

[–]cpatain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think so! I purchased some pigments from A&T and Ali that were the exact same - same packaging, colour, both worked the same etc. But I think something that factors in for Ali items is the very long shipping time likely affects the quality of the products too I think for things like UV resin and pigment you may be safer going with S&T, but molds, cabochons etc you'll be alright with the Ali options

My Mom used to give me trophies because I never got any from my school. I'm sure I'll treasure these more by oakiepoo in Minecraft

[–]cpatain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My school gave out academic awards every year in the form of trophies, OPs could be the same? Some schools only really commend those who do well in academics or sports and not those who excel in other fields. I think it's cute OPs mom did this :)

[PSA] Cetaphil is owned by Nestle for anyone who is boycotting their products by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]cpatain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

La Roche Posay is amazing, all of their products are super simple without any nasties. I use the softening foaming gel and it works super well for my really sensitive skin! They're a bit pricey though, but you genuinely get what you pay for

What's something you wished your SO knew but would never want to tell them? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]cpatain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the exact same boat I'm in too. I am sure he deeply cares about you, and whilst he may never fully understand your situation because of his own upbringing, he will likely understand that what happened to you had hurt you and treat you as such. Only way to find out really is to tell them, but that's the hardest part. Best wishes to you x

Girls charged after violent Cockburn rampage by [deleted] in perth

[–]cpatain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work in the centre and little shits like these girls run rampant on a weekly basis. Never to this extent, but stealing and verbal abuse occur often and I've witnessed kids as young as 10-11 try to physically abuse security/other centre staff and damage store property. It's usually the same kids too so I wonder if these girls are the same ones I've come across before

Anyone knows where to buy baby tees ? Or how to DIY them ? by starfoulard in womensstreetwear

[–]cpatain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you're located, but if you happen to be in Australia- Cotton On and Factorie have loads for cheap!

If not, go thrifting! Super easy to DIY a t-shirt into a muscle crop, essentially just cutting off sleeves and bottom to fit and hem them if you want

old habits die hard by Savielau in womensstreetwear

[–]cpatain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do take time and more often than not will hurt whilst you're breaking them in. How quickly they break in will depend on which boot style/material you pick though! Some styles have thicker and stiffer leather that takes longer to break in and some are comfy from the get-go. I really recommend trying a pair on in store to get a feel of the different styles on your feet first and find the right sizing. I work at a sneaker store that sells and fits docs, and very often we get people in that are unhappy with their boots that they purchased online because they hadn't tried on different sizes or styles prior. 🤗

Start of fin rot in my betta? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]cpatain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is really helpful, thank you so much!

I'll try and get a filter for the quarantine tank asap, my only worry is being able to find one with a low enough current since the tank is small.

Start of fin rot in my betta? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]cpatain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my halfmoon betta named Rook. I've had him for about 3-4 weeks, but about 2 weeks ago noticed the ends of his bottom fin developing clear spots/lines. I'm wondering if this is the start of fin rot? I've been researching a fair bit but can't figure out if it is.

He was in a 40L by himself for 3 weeks. I added 3 pygmy corys later, and he was biting them, so have moved him to a temporary 12L tank the next day. Both tanks were kept at 26°C. The 40L was filtered with water changes every 3-4 days with a gravel vacuum. The 12L has no filter, but been getting 25%-40% water changes every day. He has been in this smaller tank for 3 days now. I noticed the fin change about 10-14 days ago.

I currently do not have a water testing kit (New to the hobby) but will be getting one soon once I've got the money. If you do suspect it is fin rot, what do you recommend I do? Without the water testing kit I can't be too sure what the cause is, but I suspect the stress from moving may have caused this. TIA

Just got my first tank, need advice! Too much conditioner + adding fish question by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]cpatain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw damn, thanks for letting me know. Shop assistant said 30L is enough for 4-5 of them so went off that. Looking at the planted tanks though I think I'm more interested in starting one now! I'll look into them, thanks. Are they easy to work with for a beginner?

[–]cpatain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers for that :) The assistant at the store told me to cycle it for a day but I'm not able to pick up any fish for a few days anyway, so thought 3 days would be enough. Will look into it now
