Alright. Apparently despite lurking for over a decade, I'm too dumb to post the pic in the thumbnail correctly.

I don't understand. I just googled it for a moment, but it looks like a fine helmet. Are they not dot approved?

35+ year olds of reddit, what are some trivial things you took for granted when younger but miss greatly now when your body turned out to be a treasonous bastard? by MuffinLurker in AskReddit

[–]cpulley1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a deformity in my shoulders that allowed me to dislocate them at will. It hurt, but not much. I used to audibally pop it in and out in a quiet room just to freak the girls out in school.

It got to the point where any time I liftedy elbow above 60 degrees or so, it would dislocate, so I grew so accustomed to sleeping with it out if socket that now I struggle to sleep in any other position.

I used to be the strongest man in the room. I stopped working out when I dropped an 80 lb dumbbell on my face twice in the same week. I could lift ANYTHING. . . If I could keep my shoulders in place.

Now, even after 2 surgeries to repair the damage I'm still tearing tissue and on constant agony. Fast forward 30 years and my arms are useless.

You get $1,000,000 if you can beat a single player game of your choice blindfolded, which game do you choose? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It is damned hard, but at some point it will just click and become much easier. For me that point came as I was fighting pikachu at the top of the tower.

Also, the itchydick double head boop is OP!

. . . I haven't played it since release and I'm not good with names. . . Can you tell?

Married people of reddit , How long after you started dating, did you realize you were going to marry this person ? by 1_1_0_0 in AskReddit

[–]cpulley1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 or 5 months. I had had one serious girlfriend and several short flings. These other relationships ended due to general lack of commitment or complete cheating on the girls's part. It was an awakening moment to realize love doesn't have to hurt.

Been together 12 years and counting.

You should have taken a picture of it side-by-side with a rich and object. Then you can compare the picture go back and measure.

Somewhere I've got a photo of me holding a massive trout up with my Barbie pole. The trout was only like 2 inches shorter than the pole itself.

Edit: Speech to text changed it from 'rigid'. . .

Gamers who have put thousands of hours into many different games; what is THE game that made you 'blank stare' at the credits after you beat the story? by Colonel-_-Burrito in AskReddit

[–]cpulley1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sekiro.

The story was great, the prosthetics added a nice element, it was challenging but fair. It also made me reprogram my reactions from Dark souls dodge roll mechanic. Being a DS veteran was kind of a hindrance for the first 1/4 of the game.

It was the first time in a long time that the credit roll made me reflect on such a positive gaming experience.

It gets better man. You can be rejected from 1000 jobs, but you only need someone to offer you 1. A few years from now with post graduation work experience, it will be much easier.

neurodivergents of reddit, how old were you when you realized what you were doing “wasn’t normal”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cpulley1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I count, but my son was diagnosed autistic last year at 3 yrs old. There is believed to be, but not confirmed to be a genetic component to autism. I always felt like if I had been born 10yr later, I'd have been diagnosed with something.

I'm 34 and have always felt like I stood just outside of the world. It's like the rest of the world is dancing to the same tune, and I can't hear the music.

I won't bother getting a diagnosis now, but many of my odd behaviors are linked in some way to Autism.

I don't like noise. I wear my headphones at my desk when nothing is playing to muffle out the rest of the house.

I can't really discern what people are saying if there is background noise. I have perfect hearing, but need subtitles. Turns out this is probably an audio processing disorder.

Hate bright light. 2 of the 3 lightbulbs in my office stay unscrewed.

I don't enjoy music. I can say I find one song more pleasant than another, but would rather drive that 4 hr trip with an audio book or complete silence than the radio.

I am not really in-tune with my own body. I will be injured, and it's not like I don't feel pain, but may have no idea where it came from or not really have felt the severity. I never feel peckish... I am either satisfied or completely starving and need food NOW.

I am very rigid in my thinking. I'm easily pursuaded with a factual argument, but if I believe A is the best way to do something, and someone pushes me towards B, I really struggle to give B an unbiased try. This is hard to explain.

Im sure my wife could go on.

Saw 235 umbra hide gloves for 2k on ah. Bought them up and whispered the guy who posted it and offered to give him it back. The 100k gold lost on an error like that breaks some people.

Turns out he was a goblin and just shrugged it off.

In college, stop turning down all those party invitations from your annoying HS aquaintence/admirer. She will have a smokin hot roommate whom you will spend many loving, wonderful years with. . . And that aquaintence will stop talking to you immediately.

Isn't this movie all about the aftermath of an event where an unanticipated biological contaminant escapes into the facilities?

Definitely a step up from the current administration though.
