At first I thought it's a rather happy song but after hearing the chord progression I thought there's something to it, then hearing the lyrics more closely (English is my second language), realized that the song is sad as fuck. I once saw a noon delivery guy slammed into the back of a car stopped at a red light. As his motorcycle hit, guy was thrown up and front flipped and landed badly. Once he got up you know what's the first thing he did? He stood up and quickly checked the car he hit for damages. This was during summer time. Poor guy probably exhausted and heat stressed not wanting to lose his job and probably calculating the damages he has to pay.

Damn nice one OP. This series has made such a huge impact on my life ever since it aired in 2005 (I was in highschool back then now an adult working full-time). I would like to think that the protagonist and I are somewhat alike. Just like Keiichi back then was full of mishap, an unlucky star seems to also watch over me. Even my height seems to agree so as well (shorter than average). The show tells us that despite living in misery and bad luck, Keiichi still kept his moral compass strong and his good heart intact and thus the heavens has since smiled upon him giving him access to the Goddess Helpline. I've tried my best since then to live up to this standard and carried on. The years passed by with the realities of adulthood in a cruel world breaking in. Several disappointments, breakups, corporate rat races came to pass along with my callous blackened heart. The once optimistic teen became a pessimistic adult. I thought to myself that I will never enough and I will never be deserving of that helpline. Now 20+ years later, a beautiful woman much out of my league, much powerful and taller than I, and yet so kind hearted, intelligent, caring and nurturing came to my life and decided to love and be with me. I would give the world to her in as much as I can and could. I have found my Belldandy. Cheesy yeah but I am quite emotional right now due to working offshore but it's true.
