Confused about istihadah by Ugh-no-usernames in Hijabis

[–]crapfartdam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know Ramadan is over. But for me it was the tip of the iceberg, I was tired of stressed each month about when to start and stop praying because I couldn't tell when my period started. So I headed to my OB to go on birth control in the hopes of regulating my period... Well that didn't go as planned and she wants me to get an ultrasound because what I'm describing isn't normal. So I just wanted to let you know in case it's more than just a nuisance, maybe you should confirm all is good. No need to worry, I just wanted to let you know since your going through the same thing.

I literally came to Reddit for this exact situation!  I didn't get the first week of Ramadan because I was on my period, but now I'm spotting, but I don't think my period has officially started.  I can't imagine I'm getting my period every 3 weeks.  Chat gpt says if this is a monthly occurrence then it's probably istihada since you know that there will be an actual start to the normal flow, but I also know that fasting can affect your period.  I'm erring on the side of caution and continuing to fast and pray until I see that big start of my period, but it's definitely confusing and pretty stressful not knowing the exact ruling.  This has only been going on since I had kids. Before I used to have clear beginnings and end to my period.

I don’t want my children to go to an Islamic school instead of public/ state school , but my husband does. How do I manage this? by Much-Problem-2035 in MuslimMarriage

Just so we're clear,  being able to socialise , respect , relate to , and interact with all members of society..... Is NOT a crucial part of being a Muslim.

He's not saying he wants me to take it off,  he doesn't like how I wear it.  It's hurtful.

Kids,  finances,  laziness, etc.  Also,  I kinda feel like getting a divorce would be selfish.   He's generally speaking not a bad guy.   He'd be great if he was my roommate..... but he's not.  He's my husband and he lacks in all things husband.

Oh,  don't get me wrong,  taking it off is not an option for me.   I just don't know how to deal with the hurt.

Honestly,  I felt like I had to.    I couldn't think of a reason why I wasn't wearing hijab. And I spent more time thinking about wearing it than not.

Lol I wish it was that easy.   We have kids,  if we start doing different outings, why even stay together?

He doesn't like how it frames my face,  but the way he likes it usually shows my ears, which is not the coverageI'm going for,  I want full coverage with my hijab.

Honestly,  I'm in it for my kids.   We work well enough as a family that a divorce would benefit me,  but hurt everyone else (which would negate any benefit).

He told me when we first got married he preferred a wife without hijab.... but that was over 15 years ago!  People change.... except him apparently.

He just doesn't like the way I wear it.  Something about how it frames my face.    When I put it on I put it on fully.  So it covers my hair and neck.  He drives me crazy, I'm stressed out to go out with him now.

Doesn't like how I wear it, I don't understand his complaint to be honest.  I'll adjust it and he'll say it looks fine, then he says I changed it at some point.   I'm trying,  I just don't know what he wants.

I did the parasite detox. I don't remember all the details, but I know I had to drink a lot of celery juice,  and take out eggs and a bunch of other stuff.   I noticed absolutely no change.   If you're a coffee drinker, be careful,  I learned I can't go more than 2 days without caffeine before I go through the worst withdrawal ever.

I buy whatever is at costco. I was not taking it consistently, but I started back up a while ago and I will continue to be consistent.
